Cave Waverider Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 Moderator Note: I've moved this topic to the PC Modding Help & Support forum and cleaned out the inappropriate posts as well as changed the topic name from the vague "How to.........." to Is it possible to overwrite My Career Jobbers with modded Superstars? as per the original poster's request. The posters of said inappropriate posts are in the process of being dealt with.Friendly reminder: Instead of spamming off topic and/or attacking members for posting in the wrong forum (and thus causing a ruckus as well as needlessly bumping the topic), please use the "Report post" link on the top of the post to report it instead. This will allow the moderator team to swiftly move it to the appropriate forum and deal with the offending user if needed. Thank you very much! Quote

The method that worked in previous games where you just add ch*.pac files with the IDs of these My Career placeholder NPCs to the pac\ch\ directory doesn't work anymore this year for some reason. Maybe one has to remove them from another file first, chcommon.pac, chetc.pac, chetc_p10.pac, chetc_p30.pac, chetc_p40.pac and chheads.pac may be good candidates to begin the research 1 Quote

I actually thought that bumping the post would help get it noticed faster, and thus moved to a different topic(I keep forgetting about the report button..). I will refrain from trolling the wrong posts/insults from now on I guess.... it was just.... fun 1 Quote

In theory though if you make a file that's later alphnumerically like chz### then the game should read it after the chheads file without having to modify that file. 1 Quote

Perfectplex Posted April 30, 2017 Posted April 30, 2017 (edited) Try this (back up the files you remove). To remove them completely (to use the slots for mods). Remove chheads.pac from ch folder and then head to edit/ch and remove all the pac files. You will now have to create new characters for ch501, 502, 503 and 507, you can place these either back in the edit folder or indeed in your ch folder, the game will find them. I don't believe 482 and 504 are used so they are now free to replace too. I have not tested this as I don't play My Career but it could work in theory. Edited April 30, 2017 by Perfectplex 1 Quote

This wont stop them appearing in the character select screen, this would involve deleting their pofo and moveset too. Again I stress I do not play my career so I have no idea if this would cause a crash or other problems in my career if you replaced them with a different character model. AznBlusuazn Posted June 4, 2017 Posted June 4, 2017 I've tried this for a few hours this week. I can confirm that even removing chheads, our good friend Baron Blade still appears in 482 and 507. My thought is maybe he is embedded into the core game? I looked through every pac that wasn't a standard ch to no success. Alternatively his ch might be embedded elsewhere in another folder inside of another pac? Quote
napolenehotel Posted June 6, 2017 Author Posted June 6, 2017 @AznBlusuazn nice to meet you my friend...............very appreciate for me your hard work.....maybe is the same that i did, i can't undestand how is possible that the career superstar still appear in the game!
