Perfectplex Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 (edited) Top Row: 482 : ? 501 : Lance Xander? 502 : Jayden Jet? Bottom Row 503 : Brody Tyson? 504 : ? 507 : Baron Blade Then I have these render files which look completely different to the guys models :\ 501 : 502 : 503 : and finally the only one that appears to match 507 : Jayden Jet If anybody can shed some light on what their names are and why their renders don't even match their models with the exception of Jayden Jet I'd appreciate it. My Career is something I don't play so I don't know what they call them and why the renders are like that. Edited March 20, 2017 by Perfectplex Quote
Cave Waverider Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 (edited) There you go: The ones in the image above are the WWE 2k15/2k16 My Career stand-ins for friends' CAS. I don't know if the first five still appear in the game at all.Top Row: 482: Flash Silva 501: El Hondero 502: Ray Rich Bottom Row: 503: Tommy Wall 504: Zeus Tucker 507: Barron Blade The following are the WWE 2k17 My Career stand-ins for friends' CAS (the renders look the same as the game models actually used in that slot): 501 : Lance Xander 502 : Jayden Jet 503 : Brody Tyson 507 : Barron Blade Not sure where you got the old stand-ins from. Maybe 2k didn't fully replace all of them with the new versions in all areas. Edited March 20, 2017 by Cave Waverider 1 Quote
jakeypearce Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Why are these guys still shipping with the game? It was like this for 2K16 lol. Quote
Perfectplex Posted March 20, 2017 Author Posted March 20, 2017 (edited) Cheers Cave, much appreciated. I'm guessing the stand ins are made up from CAW parts, the 6 at the top are actual ch models found in the chheads.pac file. I inject my tests into Brock Lesnar and I thought I'd test if it would load into the superstar editor. Some strange results with the textures (I'm guessing because they use a different texture method) but other than that no glitching occurred on the model and he had all of Brocks clothing because obviously that is assigned to the model based on which character things are injected into, so had I injected him into say Bret Hart he would have his attire on, this then proves the ch files have no control of the attire in the superstar editor which I suspected but the base model is. Cave Waverider Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 (edited) Yes, they are made of CAS parts, as they aren't actual ch*.pac files but included in chcommon.pac or chetc.pac or whatever. What's wierd, though, is that in the older games you could simply add a proper ch*.pac file with the same ID of one of the stand-ins and it would override the one made of CAS parts. I couldn't get this to work this year as I wanted to replace them with wrestler mods like I did in previous games so I wouldn't see those badly done, generic CAWs in My Career, but failed. Maybe they need to be removed from/renamed in chcommon/chetc.pac, but who knows if that wouldn't break CAS mode. The textures and models are the same type as is used for Created Superstars. And yes, the base model is what is used in CAS mode. You can see this if you say put one of my modded AJ Styles attres as Attire 1 and create a new AJ Styles CAS Alternate attire. It'll wear the original gear of AJ. However, the model and skin textures will carry over from the mod and AJ will have the wristband. Edited March 20, 2017 by Cave Waverider Quote
