Game Crashes when going to universe mode or playing matches

Hey guys, I don't know why, but my game keeps crashing all of a sudden when I try to go to universe mode or start a one on one match. I've restarted steam, turned my comp on and off, and even tried to restore it from back up, but no dice. Is there any way I can fix this issue without uninstalling the game and reinstalling it? I have so many caws that I've made and I really really don't want to start from scratch. Thanks!
