Need Major Help. String pac seems to be broken for me.

Just a few things to clarify.

I have the Base game, with no DLC bought.

When i first started modding, everything worked and i had names ect.

I'm using the files download linked on pozzums page as of today.

My issue is, any time i attempt to add a superstar with cheatengine; i get blank names. (THERE WAS A POINT IN TIME WHERE THEY WERE WORKING) I can use cheat engine to change wrestler names to anything that came with the game. But anything added in from the superstring does not work. I can not for the life of me figure out why this is happening. Ive tried deleting the save file, replacing the string files ect. But for whatever reason it will no longer show names for me. Ive just recently uninstalled and reinstalled the game fresh. And the same thing happens.

Anyone have any clues as to why this is happened?  Is it b.c i don't have the dlc(all the dlc IS in the game already it seems)?  Or is there a file or folder somewhere else preventing the string pac from working?  Any help to resolve this solution would be appreciated.

Might be an issue with the pofo not being linked to the correct IDs. Is it just happening with one installation or have you also tried other wrestlers and their pofos?

Anyhow, Data Editor and Custom Character Tools are out now (see PC section) so you don't need to faff around installing with CE anymore That way you can also open the pofo in Data Editor, check the name string IDs against the string sheet and see if there is anything wrong. I wouldn't imagine it's a string issue file if you've downloaded it from pozzum's thread and if there was something stopping the string file from reading, the game would crash because ALL the game's text lies in the string file.

Are you running the latest Steam version? The current Super String only works with the latest version. Steam will likely also replace the string_win.pac when updating, so install the latest version of it back once the updates are done.
