tomwearsglasses Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 I'm trying to port Curt Hennig's attires and all of the one's in which I've added one object (001A t-shirt) work fine, but the West Texas Rednecks one (001A shirt and 001B hat) keeps crashing in 2K17. Any idea what I need to do? It's attire 8 (entrance) in this pack if anyone wants to take a look: https://mega.nz/#!VkcwgSaD!ekRLPZLBgdEyQ8o49zRq6mr0grVuSXLTX7HKCSlKZb8 And I'm using Xpacker 2017.2. 4 Life Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 (edited) @tomwearsglasses With most multi-object mods you've gotta compress the files inside the PACH, normally if the PACH is over 80mb in size then it won't work in 2K17. Get Pac Editor from HERE Then: Open your PACH file in the program. Click "Extract all" - the program will create a separate folder where the PACH is, with the extracted files in. Keep the current PACH open, and in the list of files at the bottom of the interface, with any YOBJ or texture file, click them to highlight them and click "Inject as zlib", then find the file of the same name in the new folder to inject. Once you've done this, check the size of your PACH - just to be safe, if it's not under 70mb then repeat the above process for every other file on the list, or if it doesn't work in the game when you test it then do the rest, but most of the time where the other files are small you won't need to do them. Once you've done that, open the ch pac that you want to inject into. Then click on the one file in the list to select it and click "Inject file". Browse to your PACH and inject that. Close the program and delete the .bak file if you injected straight into a pac in your ch folder (if you see two .baks instead of one pac and one bak, then hit refresh). I've found that injecting the compressed PACH via X-Packer doesn't work. Now it should hopefully work Edited March 14, 2017 by 4 Life 1 Quote
tomwearsglasses Posted March 14, 2017 Author Posted March 14, 2017 Thank you! I read somewhere (I think on Hova's thread) that we need to zlib compress the objects to make them fit - but I kept trying to do that with X-Packer and it just wasn't working. It worked great with Pac Editor. Quote

Yeah, Pac Editor has solved a LOT of problems that most of us were having Very rare that you're not going to be able to compress it enough unless it's a mod with several additional current-gen YOBJs (like my Disciple mod lol), think I'm gonna have to more or less start from scratch with that one using last gen objects for smaller file sizes.
