Yeah, looks like we dodged the 2k bullet this year for the most part, huge thanks to @Cave Waverider for updating the memory sheet so fast!  Just need to wait for a new string now

Thanks for updating the game's mods @Cave Waveriderand @pozzum!

Everything worked out great. I added Pozzum's new super string, and I used the two chunk_cache files by Cave. My added wrestlers worked perfectly, and I was able to play a match in the Hall of Fame showcase (I love the videos in the game for showcases)

just finished the whole showcase it's very terrible comparing to the previous 2k15 & 2k16

i deleted the chunk_cache and chunk_cache2 to make the game open without crashing 

but i noticed that moded wrestlers had no name just blank is there any fix for that 

and thanks for your efforts guys

Download the new super string

I installed the new cache, cache 2 and super string and crashed on startup. Deleted cache 2 again and it works.

Non-steam version? I only have seen it on Steam. Even the 2k store is a Steam download. Where did you get a standalone version from?

No, the existing wrestlers that I've added to the game prior to the update work without issue. Tested the hacked moves and entrances which I've added to the game and they work fine as well.

Everything is working fine for me too after the update(s)  : Hacked hogan moves and taunts (thanks to Tekken57) are still working , Hogan red and yellow, Hollywood Hogan and Cm Punk also .

A big thank to Cave Waverider and to Pozzum for their updated future proof super-string.

Remember to delete and replace the two (2) "chunk"  files with two empty notepad files with the SAME name and download  the new super string 2k17 updated by Cave Waverider and Pozzum.

Hof Showcase is funny but it's a bit too short IMO.

Yeah, I'm glad that nothing got majorly screwed up, I'm EXTREMELY disappointed in 2k though... We finally get a great DDP model........... and STILL no new diamond cutter, or catching diamond cutter, OR new taunts   at least they finally realized that the "Firemans Carry Cutter" is a good finisher for him though

Curious fellows, isn't 2K17 also available on the Windows store? Maybe modding CH files, etc isn't as easy with Windows store downloads as Steam.

Hell, Steam didn't even like the ReCore EXE to add it as a shortcut in my Games Library

It is available for Xbox One on the Windows Store, not PC.

Thankfully, there is no Windows store/UWP version for the PC. Such a version wouldn't be moddable due to it's encryption unless 2k implemented interfaces and tools just for the sake of modding, which I doubt they would. You'd basically be limited just like in the Xbox One or PS4 version, although you could potentially do some memory editing. So let's hope 2k keeps releasing on Steam or GOG.com or whatever and ignores the Windows 10 store.
