4 Life Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 (edited) Seen this asked about a few times and I've not seen any kind of explanation as to how to do it and I pretty much found this out on my own, so I thought I'd get in there and take all the glory You've seen it if you've used @Cave Waverider's fantabulous Attire Unlocker. You select a superstar that you expect to have 10 attires, but one of the attires like attire 2 or 3 is missing! These are typically either manager attires (examples: HHH and Ric Flair), alternate attires only used in MyCareer (example: Samoa Joe) and things like that. They're hidden because they're set to be hidden in the attire files and therefore in the Attire Unlock. I'm about to show you how to fix it in using a hex editor like HxD. Regarde: Here's a snapshot of the hex of Triple H and Flair's attires in the Attire Unlock (the misc01_start_p40.pac you installed inside your pac folder). The hex highlighted first shows where their hex starts and then the bunch of FFs highlighted shows the column where the hex is that you'll need to change to unlock the attire. This blue column is always either in column 00 or column 08. You can see here that it's in column 08 on both HHH and Flair's attires, and the column always consists of numerous single blocks of FF - all but ONE of those blocks in these cases since one attire is locked - as you can see above, one of those blocks reads 02 instead of FF. FF = attire unlocked. 02 = attire locked. The 02 is at the end of the hex for the second attire, so the second attire is locked. Coincidentally, the second block in this column of the FFs is the one. So it's easy to pick apart and you could even lock attires yourself quite easily, if you wanted to for whatever reason. With these attires locked, attire 2 will not appear in your attires list for that superstar in-game. SO... you've probably gathered by now, all we need to do is change this "02" hex, to "FF" instead to unlock the attire. Click at the start of/just before the 02 hex. Then start typing to overwrite it - do NOT highlight it, just start typing and it'll be overwritten. So Flair's hex for example would now look like this (highlighted the relevant parts again so it's easy to pick out: Go ahead and save the file, and place the backup file (the .pac.bak file that gets created once you save) somewhere safe and away from the pac folder so the game can't read it. Job done Now you should have unlocked that hidden attire slot so it'll show up in the selection screen and you can either use the attire, or replace it. If you're replacing it, you might also want to change the string in the Attire Unlock so it's no longer called "manager attire". @pozzum made a video HERE on how to do this last year and it's pretty much the same process this year. You might also want to check his thread HERE for a link to the 2K17 string sheet to find the values. Have fun Edited March 6, 2017 by 4 Life 8 Quote
