Why Do People Release Mods Without a Pofo and Moveset?

Don't you need the pofo and moveset for new character mods to work? Why do people release them sometimes without a pofo and moveset?

Unless you guys have history with the TC, I don't understand why you all are so aggressive towards him. Seems like he just asked a genuine question on how they'd work without any sense of attitude whatsoever. I asked myself the very same question just a couple days ago before finally asking someone else. Luckily, the modder was very helpful to me.

There's a thing called manners. You know, there's ways and ways of asking a particular thing. Probably you asked nicely and in a proper manner to the modder and he replied the same way. This right here is just trying to call out people, even if he didn't mean it.

Nothing wrong with asking things and asking for help, I'm all for it but I honestly don't think this is the right way to do it.

So let me get this straight. YOU are complaining about other create mods and not creating pofos/movesets. Meanwhile you are sitting on your ass making neither mods or pofos/movesets. Did I get that right?

First of all he's clogging up the PC mods section with a topic that should be in the help section. You don't need to be so smart to realize that. Secondly, there are tutorials all around the forum that tells you how to create stuff like pofos and moveset files. So rather than waiting for people to do it for you why don't you go around looking for the tutorials and actually contribute in some way by making them?

A pofo file contains all the Info for that slot (heights, string and shit), it pretty much is the slot lol. 

If its something like ch11102 and ch11112 than it's 2 different attires without entrance attires. If it's something like ch11102 and ch11104 than it is inring and entrance attire.

First of all, sorry if I offended anyone. That wasn't my intention. I'm new to modding. I didn't mod 2K15 or 2K17 and I don't know how to make a pofo or moveset myself. It was just a simple question that I wanted a simple answer for. Wasn't trying to piss anyone off and I was just curious.

It's fine but you need to understand there's always people asking this and that and sometimes it comes off rather demanding.

But replying to your question, usually modders don't have patience or time to do the pofos and movesets. But there's always someone who does them so don't worry.

Since everyone already gave you a whooping I'll play good cop.

Making complete character imports is very time consuming. Models you'd need xpacker but anyone can create pofos and movesets. You would of been far better off seeking out one of the many tutorials on how to do it rather than creating this thread which achieved nothing other than making you look like an ungrateful kid.

Cuz its takes a lotta time, and that's y Lyncaz'o and I are here for, check out our pages, we provide the pofos and moveset files, and don't harass the model creators, cuz they are the actual modders, they put a lot of sweat and time to create them, and eventually don't get much time to make the pofos and movesets, which we can make ourselves 😑 Anyways, request for pofos and move sets, and I might look into it

The whole thing came off as a bit whiney and a "come on guys, why are you half-assing the job?" kinda vibe hence the hostile responses - be a little more careful with your wording next time as, as a modder, it pisses you off when you get the notion that someone is being ungrateful and demanding liberties with your time. If that's not how you meant to come across then apology accepted on my part anyhoo, now to answer your question:

It's no different to last year really. We make the mods, and for the most part there are a bunch of guys that work on the pofos and movesets and submit them for the big pofo/moveset database thread. Since Data Editor and Custom Character Tools (the two main tools people used to work on pofos and movesets) are currently under construction, it currently requires a lot of technical knowledge to make pofos and movesets so there are very few people doing it atm. Once those tools come out, you'll likely see a database pop up and people will start making pofos and movesets and, since the tools are user friendly, you can even make them yourself if nobody's done it yet. It's just a little time consuming to make an authentic moveset and we'd rather use our time modding rather than messing around with these things tbh, and since other people are happy to contribute to the community with their work on pofos and movesets then that allows us to just get on with our mods and make more progress.
