Changing victory animations for DLC

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone knows how to change the victory animation for wrestlers that are added as DLC via X-packer.  When I try to do it in-game, most of them are not set to anything and when I click on them it shows the ring for a split second, then sends me right back to the victory animation menu... thanks for any help.

Does that happen to all DLC wrestlers or just the one you don't own?

Only the modded .pac files I have added with X-packer, it's weird, some of them (like RVD) had a default victory animation set so I could change them, but like 90% of the guys I have added are just blank and won't let me enter the victory animation scene.  I just found something about changing it via hex editor, I just thought someone might have known of a quick in-game fix for it.

Ah. I assume the .moveset files you've installed are incomplete and missing the victory stuff (if you imported them from an older game, they won't have them and you'd have to manually set them). Check out the WWE 2k17 .pofo/.moveset/.team_info Analysis thread in my signature to see which bytes in the .moveset do what.

By the way, it isn't a good idea to install .pofo, .team_info and especially .moveset files from older games without converting them properly first, as they won't work properly and it may royally mess up your save game.

Yeah, that must be it, most guys don't have .moveset files made for them yet(that I know of) so I just installed the .pac files and activated/named them with X-packer.  Thank you for the info though, I think I will just make a dummy .moveset file for guys that don't have one yet, that should fix it :)
