WillieB31 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Trying to install alternate attires on American Alpha as there have been 3 really cool attires made up by AMBROS for them so far and would like to have them all. Used Waverider's 10 alt attires thing and both Gable and Jordan show up with 10 open slots. Looked at other characters I've downloaded with alternate attires and tried renaming the alt attires through pac file names (like ch61402.pac is the original attire, 412 would be alt attire 1 or 2, 422 would be the next and so on). However, when I go into the game, it seems like there's just one attire still. Am I missing something? Quote

You will have to extract the SHDC from the 2K17 pac and then inject it into a 2K16 pac. Then you rename it. Quote

This, and also don't forget to hex edit the 2K16 pac once you've injected into it to change the ID in there also. 1 Quote
Legend_killer79 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 And also that. Thanks for the reminder @4 Life Quote
WillieB31 Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 Sorry. Trying to learn as I go here. Just started to figure out the hex editing with some instructions. Anyways...So when I download a Kevin Owens off of here and he has 3 attires/ch files, the work has already been done with those files? Cause that's what I was kind of using as my naming template, so to speak. The Owens I downloaded has his current attire, his normal attire, and then his NXT attire from last year. Thanks for the prompt answers and getting back to me. Sorry if this is a noobish question. Quote

From his 3 attire pacs, the first is the Kevin Owens Show, the second is his default 2K17 attire and the third his NXT attire. If you wanted to change the position of those attires, like keeping the default attire as number 1 and the Kevin Owens Show as number 2 for example, you would have to extract the SHDC from it and inject into any 2K16 pac. Then via hex edit, you would rename it. No worries man, it's always important to ask when one is making an effort to learn. 1 Quote
WillieB31 Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Yes, it's Tidal's KO mod/character update. So anyone who makes these character updates with multiple attires attached to them goes through this SHDC/injecting into 2k16 and renaming process? Quote

Ideally, all modders should Inject the SHDC into a 2k16 .pac when creating their mods, even if their mods replace the first attire so people can move IDs and use them as alternate attires. Alas, many don't seem to know or simply don't bother doing so. Hopefully this will change in the future. Edited February 21, 2017 by Cave Waverider Quote
