Memory Table CAW Slot Numbers For Hex Values?

Recommended Posts

How does it work with determining the slot number of a CAW tron, minitron, etc. in order to reference their hex values this year?

I have Pozzum's new memory sheet, which is invaluable.

But how do you determine which slot a CAW is in, now that they all get reorganized alphabetically?

For example, Animal is currently "slot one" in my CAW list, but if I DL AJ Lee, won't she become slot one and Animal slot two? I'm baffled by this.

I'd imagine the sorting is only done as a visual thing within the game and not actually the slot numbers themselves, I could be wrong on this but I would imagine this is the case, much like how the characters are sorted alphabetically and not by ch order (Rock then Stone Cold then Triple H, etc).

I would think that it downloads things to the first available empty slot.

I was thinking/hoping this too, but where would one check the actual slot order??

I can't remember the DL order, esp since I've deleted some along the way.

It's a good idea to write down the order you create/save your wrestlers, tag teams, belts, arenas, shows, etc. in.

However, you can also check which slot which is in (assuming your CAWs have different names) by checking the "Start Name" address of each slot in the memory table in cheat engine. This will show you the CAW's name in that slot.

That's good advice. I annotate most mod modifications I make for this reason, but since it was so easy to determine slot number for 2k16, I never even considered it for this one until now.

Anyway, thanks to this advice from you and Pozzum, I figured out all the CAW slot numbers and wrote them all down.

So thank you! I now know all the CAW slot assignments.

However, I still can't use Cheat Engine to add additional trons. It's just not working the way it used to.

I input the Titantron hex from Pozzum's table into Add Address Manually, and the value that comes up is always 210000-- strange. I change the value to anything else, but in-game, nothing changes.

Most curious is-- why do all the hex values for titantrons point to 210...?
