I need help with modding

What steps do I need to take to make sure that I can add mods in my copy of WWE 2K17? Do I need to make my own chunk_cache like in last year's game or is there something else that I need to do for the mods to work with my copy and not crash whenever I try to play with mods? Thanks in advance

Yes you need to delete your chunk_cache file to make them work.

Once I delete the original, do I need to replace it with a false chunk_cache file?

just make a notepad and rename it to chunk_cache.bin and back up the original just to be on the safe side.
