Hey guys,

So I tried to update Braun Strowman with a .pac file (just replaced the original .pac file with it), and it doesn't work. I had a backup so that's fine.

I replaced the chunk_cache just in case, but it still doesn't work !

I uninstalled Strowman.

Then I try to install the Universal Alternate Attire Unlocker, I even tried to install AJ Styles alternate attires, but nothing works.. Again. chunk_cache is still not saving me..

Universal Alternate Attire Unlocker installation : Just like the Readme. did the .bak files, moved them elsewhere, then moved the new files into pac..

AJ Styles attires : I just replaced the original .pac et added the others into pac/ch, as I'm supposed to..

What did I do wrong ? T.T My game is in English (was French at first when started the game, switched to English for mods)

Strowman crash : Just go on him and select him -> the app doesn't respond and crashed.

Alternate Attire crash : Launch the game, waiting for a long time on the splash screen, and then black screen before it crashed.

Yeah, the alt attire mod fucked my game too. Will try to find a reason why.

I just tried both Universal Attire Unlocker and Braun Strowman's mod and worked fine. No issue whatsoever.

Nevermind, I uninstalled all mods et let Steam correct issues.

Then I installed SuperString, then Attire Unlocker and AJ Styles attires !

The game crashed, so I changed the chunk_cache again, et relaunched. didn't work so I uninstalled the attires et THEN it worked !

Only after, I reinstalled attires and it worked ! Might need to launch the Game once you installed SuperString & Attire Unlocker before you install attires !

Problem solved !

Good that it's working now. It's possible that there was some leftover stuff in memory or the temp folder that was causing a conflict and the process you did resolved that.

Yep ! Just had to keep trying and searching to solve it !

Now that it is working, the question in my mind is : How do I transform a attire 1 to attire 2 by modifying the .pac manually with  HxD? I mean, I tried but is seems that .pac are different than last year..

Open the 2k17 file with x-packer or pac editor. Extract the pach/sdhc file. Open a 2k16 pac file and inject the extracted pach/sdhc file. And finally change the attire number in the 2k16 pac file with HxD.

To get mods to work like last year, you can follow these steps:

1. Use X-Packer 2017 to extract the SHDC file with the hashed name from the WWE 2k17 ch*.pac.
2. Open a WWE 2k16 ch*.pac file in X-Packer 2017.
3. Inject the extracted .shdc file into it in place of the old PACH file (no need to rename the .shdc file before injecting, the name from the old 2k16 PACH file will remain for it).
4. The hybrid file will then have an unhashed XXXYZ name [XXX = Wrestler ID, Y = Attire Number (where 0 = Attire 1, 1 = Attire 2, Attire 2 = Attire 3, 3 = Attire 4, 4 = Attire 5, 5 = Attire 6, 6 = Attire 7, 7 = Attire 8, 8 = Attire 9, 9 = Attire 10] and attire type [2 = Ring, 4 = Entrance)] like the 2k16 PACH files do and you will be able to rename them accordingly and use as alternate attires.
