WWE 2k17 Data Breakdown and Analysis

I've created this thread to post our findings on various data files like .pofo, .moveset, .team_info and more. I've figured out a lot myself, but I'd like to ask for your help to figure out the things we haven't figured out yet. It's imperative that we figure out the most important things, otherwise I can't proceed with the development of the Data Editor for WWE 2k17.

If you have any additions, corrections, etc., please reply to this thread, state which file type you wish to add to and give me the decimal offset of the byte(s) in the file and what it's function is.

Wrestler Information (.pofo) Analysis for WWE 2k17

Pofo size: 416 Bytes
 
BASIC INFO
00 - 01  Wrestler ID 1 (needs to be the same as the ch pac number)
02 - 03  Slot Number (the slot the .pofo is in, usually assigned dynamically by game on the second start, good idea to use either the Slot Num or the Wrestler ID value for starters to prevent conflicts with other entries)
04 - 07  Empty?
08 - 09  Wrestler ID 2 (Commentary Name - if this is set the same for two wrestlers, they can't be used in the match together)

Universe Title history Information.

So the First set of data is the Default Champions for when you create the game these are 4 Byte Decimal Values that are the Pac references to the wrestler:

how would I go about extracting wwe 2k17 pofo and moveset files with cheat engine

Do not have any modding experience but willing to help however I can , espically if we can unlock more CAS slots and place Created wrestlers in game without taking up CAS slots.

Check Pozzum's memory table for the address where a wrestler's .pofo starts. Check where the next .pofo starts and subtract one byte. Then Use cheat engine's save memory region and put in the range of the addresses. Make sure to not save the cheat engine header and save it as .pofo.

Same deal with .moveset files.

@pozzum Is the "trial" table still WIP? Because some (or all?) of the moveset and pofo addresses aren't working (for example "The Rock"). The "uncompressed" tab seems to be working better but I haven't any uncompressed string file!

perhaps that has to do with the stealth update.  Because I actually added a bunch of extra data with the super string prep and it didn't move anything still, I'll hide it and see if people still have issues.

I've updated .team_info, which is mostly analyzed now, although some unknowns remain.

I have also found something great in there: the ability to change victory animation positioning for teams!
This means we can now fix the entrance and victory positions for The Club the proper way independently of each other (You may check out the fixed .team_info for The Club that I've made available to see how I did it)! :D

Now we just need to break down and analyse the .moveset files, which I'd greatly appreciate some help with to get things done more quickly. :)

Seems like offsets 32-34 (decimal) are referring to the location but I'm not sure what is what. Offset 34 often is 60 (hex) and when I change it to another value, the location isn't mentioned any more. When I change offset 32 and 33, the announcement for the location changes.

@TheVisitorX Great find! Perhaps it's a 4 byte value? Or maybe 2  bytes are location and 2 weight? I guess this needs to be tested thoroughly.

Hm, offset 34 has no Influence to the weight. It seems to have something to do with the country of origin, but I'm not sure what. I've tried to change 60 to 40 or 10, but in that case, the origin doesn't get mentioned during ring announcement.

My thoughts are: AJ Styles and The Rock have the same values in offset 34, so maybe offset 34 means country, offset 33 means state and offset 32 is the city? If its the same like with CAWs ingame... Or it is something completely different ;). I'll need to check that.

Looks like my thoughts are correct:

The Rock has "60" @ offset 34 that seems to be USA
Cesaro has "54" @ offset 34 which is Switzerland
Cesaro has "00" @ offset 33 because there is no state
and "03" @ offset 32 which means "Lucerne" - ("02" means "Zurich")

But I don't understand their sort order.... Why is Lucerne 03 and Zurich 02? And why is USA 96 (decimal) and Switzerland 84 (decimal)?

I've analysed a large part of the moveset and added the values in the moveset breakdown. I'm still missing most move types introduced in WWE 2k17 as well as several more Unknowns added in this game. I haven't gotten to the advanced entrance either.
I've added the Location stuff found by @TheVisitorX to the Pofo breakdown, thanks for the find, bud!

Countries appear to be the same (alphabetical) order they are listed in in CAS mode (Switzerland is listed in the 84. Spot in Alphabetical Order which is 54 hexadecimal).

City is wierd. The list in CAS Mode is: Geneva, Lucerne, Zurich, so it should be 01 Geneva, 02 Lucerne and 03 Zurich, but it isn't.

States are also completely out of order, it seems.

I guess we'll have to catalogue each value separately. :(

Also, could those be sound IDs or something?

Alright so I looked into porting the entrances, winning animations and adding moves to the game. It's exactly the same as last year, so take a look at the tutorials I did last year as well as last years modding discoveries thread.

The moveset file has some extra data in it as it now has additional taunts (crowd, turnbuckle, etc) as well as additional data for winning animations which seem to have a separate value for music in addition to the entrance music.
