Model Testing from 2K15/2K16

Did you just copy & paste old pac files into 2K17 ch folder, or you did some change to the files ? Because NO old pac file works for me so far.

For entrances such as Hulk Hogan who require a prop for the shirt rip, yes you also need to copy the prop files. They can be found in a pack in the 2k16 pc mod section, as they were ported over last year. If you can't find them, I'll send a Link later if you need it. For the most part though, just copying the entrance file is enough. Hulk Hogan's will play without the shirt rip too though, just looks weird.

Also, last year Hulk Hogan's removed moves/taunts were able to be added back in as the addresses were still in the createmode pack. It looks like this year will require more work, as 2k have removed any blank move slots unfortunately. Hopefully this can be worked around somehow.

My game got screwed :/ , time to reinstall everything, glad I made a backup of the entire Steam folder + saves.

Guess I need to wait a little bit more before trying to "experiment" modding :lol .

better wait for some new updated tools.

Yes, the files seems to work if you rename. however I'm waiting for the Tye/Mojo info to know if they are in the tested spot and then I'll add all the models (edit hex and whatnot) for the N/A spots, so we have an easy string file by default.

I have some pacs that have pacs in them which makes it a bit more difficult for me and also some missing like Slaughter in Iraqi gear and Batista '02 (If anyone reads this and has these files, please send it to me).

All the pac + slots and the whole cheat engine, I won't touch. I will wait for the actual tools to be released and like I said, some models will have Extra alts. So, we'd have to wait for the tools for that as well... But fear not, I'm sure it is coming soon... I just have to write down everything and trust me, I'm trying really hard to actually rename and edit in Hex right away so no one has to do it like crazy... Passion project :p It really is. And as I stated before, this is nothing like huge modders and tool creator. Much respect for them.

I'm testing more stuff today to make sure they all work and making a list of what's missing so others can help me as well. After all, it's a team efforts. :) 

We'll make it great, I am sure of it :)

It's a matter of hex edit also. I will release the whole thing, at least V.1.0 soon. Hopefully by this weekend :) sadly, as I stated before, even if they are 'released' it'll be much better to wait for the whole string file and Alt attire unlocker as some have multiple attires (Ultimate Warriors as 9 I think, RVD as 5, ect. ect..) so to truly enjoy this it'll take time.

Same goes for the actual 'render'/Menu shots, I really REALLY want that to be changed and/or added. But until we have the tools, it'll be harder so we have to have some patience.

I should truly contact Pozzum for the string file idea, so the N/A spots goes for missing wrestlers of 2K16/2K15, including entrance anim if need be. used as a huge back up file before any real modding happens. The more in game, the better... And it shows even more why they should never remove stuff from their games. Even if some aren't in the company or with legends contract...Seriously, all of them that I'm seeing now on my list makes 2K17 be a REALLY great game. Adds so much. and as soon as the tools exists and people like Dennis makes his mods work, we'll have even better stuff (Same thing for NPC unlocker + edit to say Ted Dibiase in wrestling gear + Blue steel cage being added again) It's a dream game, IMO.

 

Working on this today, very hard as well. Will update the first post for sure too, so it's less complicated to know what's up.

Pac's with extra alts are easy to deal with too. The tools for that are already available for that from 2k16. Just to need put them in to individual pac files. As a heads up, Pozzum is working on a tool where you'll be able to download and inject all missing superstars and attire changes, and inject them in to any slot with one tool, which he'll be releasing at some point.

I've just been testing a bunch of these myself as alt attires. All the 2K16 ones I tried worked and most of the 2K15 ones too but there were a few that didn't:
2K15 Undertaker
2K15 Kofi Kingston
2K15 Sheamus
2K15 Chris Jericho '02.

Have you tried any of these? Wondering if it's a problem with the models or something I've messed up.

I haven't myself. Do you happen to have Batista '02 and Sgt. Slaughter in Iraqi gear?

Thank you for the time you've put into this for the rest us that love these games. Are there any updates on this topic?

Only problem when porting 2k16 pacs is that the hair dont move (Warrior, Hbk..). Is there any fix for that without the need of xpacker?

Awesome to see you're still in the community!  This is a really awesome project, I can't wait to see what you put together.  I found that the WWE 2K15 Retro Batista works(I think the one from Alt Attire Pack 1, in the ports section for 2K16 by Pozzum, btw Retro Orton works too)  I couldn't get an entrance attire to work with him, he just came out in trunks/barefoot(maybe just didn't use the right file) but he was fully editable in-game, I also found that RVD and X-Pac can also be edited.  Another strange one was Tekken's Sabu, for some reason the in-match model won't work(I'm assuming something with the hair) but the one with the headgear did, so I just used that as a xxx02.pac file, Tekken's Scott Steiner also works, but the headgear in the entrance looks hilarious :D 4Life's Attitude Era Kurt Angle works perfect, as well as LeonRick's Great Muta(in-match model only) from last year, I know you're just looking for the official ones, but just thought I would share that, good luck with this project, it would be awesome to have an official version with the entrances and renders for sure, this needs WAY more thumbs up!

hey bro how are we getting 2k15 superstars in 2k17 now ? etc cm punk tried to put him in mine to replace someone but it freezes my game up

can you help me out.

Try to set Punk as second attire for Any Wrestler (rename the pacs for a second attire for any wrestler).

All wrestlers from 2K15 should be added via Pozzum's project. This project, for me, at least, is closed. I'm focusing on the audio project that can be seen on the forum.
