That wav issue and this 90s issue are two independent things. They have nothing to do with each other. That the 90s sound isn't changing is because 90s 1 is alternating with 90s 2. That is a glitch. 80s has the same issue. Try to use another theme. That wav issue was a bug in version 2.1.2 and is still a bug in SE.

Problem here is: First SE converts a file to wav because Wwise can only read wav files. Now that wav gets converted to Wem. If a conversion  goes wrong, SE does not exit,  it tries to inject the source wav. But the game can't read wav files so it gets muted... And because SE can't inject wem to wav extensions you cannot fix this. I have to fix that.

For now it is the safest way to import wem files only.

How exactly do they alternate? Does 80s 1 play first, then 80s 2 when it's done, then 80s 3 when that's done? I'm asking because I injected a theme for my CAW into 80s 1 and haven't heard any of the other 80s play during entrances or victories, so I'm curious what exactly it does.

I'm not sure if 3 has the same issue but it does alternate randomly between 1 and 2. Sometimes 90s 1 is playing, sometimes 90s 2. Really strange. I have no idea why that happens. But I have only tested in the entrance editor yet.

so to convert....

Do i need to select an "export directory"? Where should export directory be? Once I have that - I click "tools", "sound converter" and then select the song I want to convert. I did this once without an export directory and cannot seem to find the file. Do I export files back into the game_sound_m.pck folder???

Export directory means, all converted files are in that directory. If no export directory has been selected, it will be the same as the source file. So if your mp3 file is in: c:\users\blablubb\sounds -> your wem file will be in the same directory. So this path is optional. And I will highlight that in the next version.

By the way, here is a short video which explains the steps and general use. It is NOT a tutorial. I've tried to add text labels to describe but my video editing program crashed before I could save my work, so I've lost all the labels... So it is not a tutorial, but maybe someone gets a better understanding what's to do by watching it.

There are some more steps in the video which aren't necessary like go to Wwise or sound folder in Windows Explorer. It is only to demonstrate the path which you have to enter in SE.

All selected sound files in that video are files which you can edit. You can ignore the other ones.

Thanks - I tried to watch the video but the quality is a bit distorted making it difficult to follow. I was able to find the .wem file that I created from an MP3 but now do I copy and paste it into the  e_sound_m.pck folder  and replace the song I want to remove? How exactly do I get the .wem file into the game?

thanks again for all your help and guidance throughout this process

Click on the video title to play it on youtube, quality should be better there or click on the bottom right icon to enable fullscreen mode. Quality is okay here. It also explains all of your questions. You don't have to use copy paste.

If anyone is interested in messing with announcing or commentary, I updated the data.xml file with info from the DLC10 file here:

https://mega.nz/#!wos0TZaC!Wh8U8diyFl6CaIFpLr9VUXF6NUv8w5R5K2W2us2vW2k

I just tagged each item with initials for whomever is speaking (in this case, LG for Lillian Garcia or MC for Michael Cole) and then the name of the wrestler (Beefcake, Guerrero, etc.).

REMEMBER IF YOU COPY THIS INTO THE PROGRAM FOLDER, IT WILL OVERWRITE ANY TEXT CHANGES YOU'VE MADE!  So if you made any of your own notes - open this file, copy the IDs for the DLC wrestlers, and paste them into your file instead.

Okay, I got the tool working (had major issues with Wwise) and successfully imported a song over an existing one.  Problem is I screwed one up before I got it right.  Trying to load the backup but it's not a PCK file it's a PCK with date extension file type.  How do I load the backup/original sound file so that I can start from scratch?

Can confirm this works beautifully!

Replaced Ivory's theme with her proper 'Made of Ivory' one!

Thanks OP!

Note: You will have to make your source audio file louder than usual. I suggest using a program like Audacity to do so.

is there any way someone can do a video tutorial for us? I just downloaded the Wwise Authoring & SDK but get this error message when I click "Tools" then "Sound Converter" and choose which song to convert within SE:

please help?

Go to settings

Select your Wwise Bin Directory:

My location was:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Audiokinetic\Wwise v2014.1.6 build 5318\Authoring\x64\Release\bin

Hope it helps!

Most things are done, because there weren't much changes in the internal structure. I'm still working with the old PACH format. Maybe there will be a beta version before the DLC comes out. Especially the render injection tool will need some testing. If you have enough time to test, let me know and I will add you to my list! I think the official release will be after DLC because I'm not sure if the DLC makes some changes to the offsets.

Of course my friend. I'm available to help. I also consider a good idea releasing after the DLC, which I think it's due this week correct? I don't recall if the PC release is the same as for the consoles.

I will send you a link when I'm done with adding the correct CAW addresses. I definitely need someone for testing the render stuff :D.
