First the good news...

2k16 entrances work almost perfectly. Only the Pyro and DX overlay is missing from X-Pac's entrance.

Now the bad news...

2k15 entrances that aren't accessible in advanced (like RVD's) are unusable this year. They block the titantron, music and crowd sounds from playing. There are also ramp bugs in certain arenas.

Hello,tekken, can u upload the Goldberg into the rock 2k16 pac ? i really want the goldberg in wwe2K16.

No, you have to extract all the files from the shdc and create a new pach for it to work on 2k16.

 

@bravebird31 , I found the issue with multiple wrestler yobj in a single shdc. The problem doesn't seem to be with the yobj files itself but rather with supporting files in the pac. Haven't narrowed down which one is causing the issue.

 

Look at the AJ Styles entrance pac, it has quite a few yobj slots. I managed to inject all hogan's entrance yobj's into it and still had one slot free. I injected Swaggers yobj with just the singlet rendered and it loaded the model fine. I also changed the header of the hogan yobj to "YOBJ" from "JBOY", not sure it that made a difference.

 

You can see the singlet on Hogan's back here:

I was literally just thinking this since the files inside have seemed to change. I'll work on porting a mod and post my results.

There a much easier/quicker way. Extract the SHDC, but when you're saving it, just save it as a pach (save it as you would a 2K16 pach, so something like 00010312.pac if it was an Undertaker alt for example) and then you can inject that straight into a 2K16 pac file :)

I tried changing file names of extra yobjs to match those that I've seen in 2K17 files, but that didn't seem to work, maybe injecting into them might work though if the file structure has to be the same as 2K17.

@tekken57 I have some good news on entrance animations. I was able to find the motion parts of each animation. As it turns out, the motion is using YMAM/MAMY. If we can find the motion on the older 2K14 EVZs, we might be able to get older entrances working.

Well, I simply extracted the .shdc files and injected it in 2k16 pac files and all tested one worked fine with all hair/jacket animations

I just tried your method and it only allowed me to do about two 0000 yobjs (Including the main 0000) before it crashed. I hope I am just missing a step.

Hell, I try loading more than one yobj and I just freeze on the loading screen. Not necessarily a crash though.

I hope when everything is completed and ready there will be a tutorial for adding wrestlers lol. Hard to understand what these filetypes and such means when I skipped 2K16 modding.

I'm with you there lol.

I have patience, I'll wait until these pros on the boards find a way to perfect modding in people from 2K15 and 2K16, including entrance motions and when the Data Editor and Sound Editor are released :) I have faith in them! They are awesome!

So, i also have tried to inject some YOBJs of my Yokozuna Mod into AJ Styles entrance SHDC and it works fine.

these slots works well for me.

i noticed when i inject a YOBJ into the 5608 file the game freezes, when i inject a YOBJ into the 5609 file the game crashes.


Does anybody know which file is responsible for the hair ? there aren't a 2715 file.

Ì injected the extra wrestler into the 5609 slot on my Hogan and the game loaded fine.. Maybe there's a size limit like with older games on the ps3 and xbox 360. AJ Styles hair seems to be the 5609 slot. I checked Billy Gunn and there is 2715 slot.

 

I also tried extracting all Billy Gunn's files, making a new pach and injecting into a pac, the game crashes. So it seems like pach are definitely not supported for wrestlers, we have to SHDC.

While not related to YOBJs, I was able to copy and paste 06344 (The Rock '03's winning animation) from 2K16, which used the old EPK8/PACH format. The game loaded the animation fine without issues. I wonder if it's due to some of the new .win files this year...

Are you sure? Several people reported they got "pach wrestlers" working.

I didn't had much time to test stuff, but the inring attire of classic Hogan worked without editing anything except the pach name. 

I packed him into slot 105 and it worked fine.

4 Life's Bret Hart is an "EKP8" and somehow it works, the rest just don't work for me.

@tekken57 Idk if it's a file size issue. I've injected a few parts of an HBK mod i had into Style's SHDC and it works, at 81mb, but when i inject parts of my Undertaker it hangs on the character select screen. There's got to be some other variable.

I've gotten Pach's to work. Actually the Rick Rude mod im working on is 2k16 based and has worked flawlessly on 17

Hmmm, interesting. I've tried what you guys said and replaced Billy Gunn's entrance and ring pac with his 2k16 in ring pac and the game loaded it flawlessly. So there must be something inside some pach's which cause the game to crash.

Did you try and inject the pach into a 2K17 pac? Might be that pach's aren't compatible with 2K17 pacs, whereas you can use 2K16 pacs with either pach's or shdc's from my experience.
