Getting the best out of WWE2K17's Universe mode. Helpful Tips

Tips and suggestions for the best Universe Mode experience in WWE2K17

 

1.       Before creating a rivalry, make sure you’ve made the rivals enemies before hand to avoid the Rival A vs Rival B every week scenario.

2.       Also of note, make sure to play around with the personality traits. Each one determines a different cutscene outcome.  Aggressive and Bold seem to grant the brawling on the stage, Bold and Prideful (when involving champions) usually ends with a Championship staredown (if the challenger is around the #5 or #6 ranking spot.

3.       If you are planning on a Tag team championship rivalry, DON’T. This is glitched. It was glitched in 2k16 and I’m not sure but it probably was glitched in 2k15 to where it was always Rival A vs Rival B every week.  The only way to have any type of tag rivalry is to have any team have any title.

4.       If you use alternate attires, and it’s a championship rivalry, Either use the default attire, or if you plan on using a custom attire for an in-game model, make it a caw and just copy the moves, attributes, entrance etc over. For some reason, alternate attires end up having an effect of invisible titles or every champion holding the WWEWHC in cutscenes. 

5.       Change the PPV Themes prior to starting rivalries.  Sadly the Payback, Battleground, Summerslam, and Extreme Rules Themes seem to be the only ones that influence the way cutscenes are displayed.

There are a lot of other things but this is stuff I’ve figured out by playing WWE2K15 -2K17 extensively. I pretty much consider myself a Universe obsessed nut and I’m damn proud of it and just thought I’d share this with anyone that would be interested in these tips.

 

Also: about the club beeps, someone could post this over on 2k since they banned me from their stupid forums.  The beeping only occurs if you have the club in the VS side. Of the screen.  So if it’s “The Club vs say The Shield, it’s fine. But if it were to be The New day vs The Club for the Tag titles, you’d hear the beep. Still messed up but thought I’d point that out as well.

Thanks! i'm waiting for the WWE 2k17 on pc, i hope we have a pre load soon. I post this in the other thread but i'll put it here too just in case.

 

 What i do for my Universe mode is this:

- I put the wrestlers that i want to see on a tv show ( smackdown live, which i see every fight, except for those that repeat every week( i skip those thinking it was just a promo)) and the others wrestlers in other shows( i just skip the fights on those). 

- I separate wrestlers who goes for the intercontinental champions and those who goes for the wwe champion title.

- I put on every wrestler a red part on their body, so they can  have an injury easily

- I create a show called Hall of fame, this one have wrestlers like Rock, stone cold etc.

-Smackdown and Hall of fame goes togheter at royal rumble making royal rumble a great return for some hall of fame wrestlers.(Even Cm Punk returned once).

- At the end of summerslam and wrestlemania, i draft wrestlers depending of the ranking of every show.

-At the end of wrestlemania  i choose a wrestler that goes to hall of fame.

-matches that became bored or are in a final rivalty i treat them as a draft match where the loser goes to other show, sometimes in other shows you have a ppv where the main event it'sn't for a title, those matches are for that, the winner could go to a better show, or the looser goes to a worst show..

and well, thats´s pretty much what i do to play this game.

that's cool man just some tips cause i saw some people saying they either got the same cutscenes or none at all. the rivalry and allies as well as personality traits definitely help.  i only do wwe and wcw shows so yeah. and cause i'm so sick of Lillian's botches and i upload my shows to YT, i have been ripping all the justin roberts announcing from SVR10, WWE13, 2k14, and 2k15.

 

here's something i hadn't even realized.  SVR2010 was the last game to have the separate sliders for Commentary and Ring announcing.  We definitely need that back.
