WWE2K17 PC Release on the 7th of February

I just went onto facebook and got an ad from WWE Germany where it says that WWE2K17 will be released on the 7th of February on PC ( Steam) The Pre order Page will be up later this week.

Yep it's been confirmed, great news that it's coming early. Only negative is it looks like DLC won't be included in the standard edition this year though, there's a deluxe edition that includes the season pass.

If the dlc really costs, why dont we wait until the CCT is out and Inject the dlc models into empty slot. There wouldnt be any dlc moves but fuck it still better than paying 29€ for dlc that I bought on PS

i don't see the problem. it should have been like this. it's fair play. it wasn't fair that console users had to pay for dlc and pc users got it free.

I've been more than willing to buy it at full price for 2k15 and 2k16 both because free DLCs was a fair compensation for bad ports many months after the console release, now that it's not like this anymore I don't care. I'm not pirating it due to the fact I never pirate PC games, but goddamn it I'm not really tempted.

yeah i don't know much about the keys and such. i've only really gotten 2 games on steam. i think star trek online and mass effect 3. and me3 didn't come with all dlc. i guess cause it had the deluxe thing as well

...Holdup @Jai, I never disrespected you (even when you deserved it), but don't disrespect me or the modding community. We work hard on our creations. Seriously, I have to ask because I haven't figured it out yet, what do you contribute to the community, I get you can't mod but can you even make a decent CAW? Do you create arenas, or titles? Do you work on downloadable movesets? What do you do? Your just the proverbial armchair quarterback who brings nothing to the table. So fall back on disrespecting the modding community, or at the very least add a real contribution to it. Now I'll be going back to respecting everyone who actually does something.

Even though the PC version will be more expensive this year , it could actually be a blessing in disguise because if there's DLC post patch then hopefully there'll in turn be more support for the game this year . Last year we were given one paltry patch and then nothing even though the game was still full of bugs whereas consoles got more patches because the game kinda got patched to fix bugs with the dlcs . With the PC version it was as if the support for that was an afterthought , so hopefully the bigger price will come with more support and patches . I'm probably kidding myself but I can hope

It seems there will be an actual physical boxed version for the PC this year as well. I wonder if the boxed version still requires Steam, although it probably does (and maybe just includes a Steam key anyway). I guess it sold well enough on the PC the recent years to warrant a retail release this time and charge for the DLC. Who knows, maybe the PC version WWE 2k18 will even come out at the same time as the console versions next year.

I'm not exactly happy about the steeper price due to DLC not being included by default this year, but it isn't all that bad either. If it wasn't for all the bugs and issues still plaguing the console versions, I'd be okay with it, but charging more money for an even buggier game than the previous years is kind of a shameless move, especially since we have to wait for the PC release just as long. Hence I'm strongly considering waiting until all the bugs are fixed before buying this one and getting a sweet deal for it in some sort of sale. The only thing that makes me consider getting the game right at launch at the moment is so I can start development on the Data Editor for WWE 2k17 to not leave the modding community hanging for too long.

I'll never understand the mindset of people being glad that others don't get things for free or cheaper than what they paid. Being unhappy that you paid more is okay, but the former just appear to be complete ani to me.

More or less like me. Still, since my birthday is next month I'm actually considering getting the game at one of those cheap websites. Only issue would be the DLCs/Season Pass as I consider it too expensive considering everything.

If I decide to get the game, I'm more than willing to do something like sharing the game with you in order to help with Data Editor and other ideas you might have. Obviously, still haven't decided yet but would be totally open for that since you've been extremely helpeful to this community.
