Save corrupted when Steam is on Online Mode

Hey guys, so the title says it all. When I open the game on offline mode it works perfectly. But when I open the game while Steam is online, the save file becomes corrupted. Any ideas why? Thanks!

I've been having issues with downloading from CC. Often, one of those downloads come as "damaged content" and basically ruins the game. Then it simply becomes corrupted save. I never had that issue before but recently it's been nonstop.

That's different from my game problem. My saved game loads perfectly when I'm in offline mode in Steam but it becomes corrupted every time I go online. But I've had your problem before and here's the solution, whenever you're going to use the CC turn your antivirus off first before downloading anything. You should have no problems after that.

Really? That's interesting considering I never used this anti-virus before (got a new laptop so). One question tho: After I download whatever I need/want, can I turn anti virus on again? Will that cause any issues or not really?

Yeah, you can turn it on again after using the CC. Well it worked for me, I hope it works for you. My only problem now is the online/offline corrupt issue.

I'll definitely try that out. Seems interesting because on my desktop I had a different anti-virus and never had any issues with this. Ever since I went for my new gaming laptop and put a new anti-virus, it seems to happen almost every time. Might as well try that.

As for your issue, I think it might be something to do with your cloud files not being the same ones from the offline ones? Meaning, if you disable cloud sync, the save won't go there so when you turn it on might create an issue. Not sure tho. Try putting your current offline saves into the cloud and replace the ones that are there.

Rename all the files at save folder with the capital letters. It will work again
