I'm usually not one to complain. However, the completely broken and easily abused system linked to reversals and ground attacks can't be ignored. It's very much an issue which has taken a great deal of enjoyment out of my overall experience thus far.

I often play online, having spent the last few months of WWE 2K16's relevance binging on online matches and having some exciting matches with the fairly solitude reversal and ground system. However, it's completely been scrapped in this game it would seem. ALL of my 2K17 online matches have consisted of either myself or my opponent baiting the other into using their reversal to escape the a barrage if stomps. When you inevitably hit the reversal button, you're only met with a running strike of grapple before you have the opportunity to retaliate.

This is a issue with the core gameplay in itself, but I do belive it's had a part in deterring many players from even heading into "2K Tonight". Rightfully so. I'd urge 2K to return to the four ground hits before a free reversal system, or somehow adjust this current system to better simulate matches. Otherwise, the online community won't last all the way up to next October.

If I'm merely playing the game the wrong way, I'd be happy to be proven wrong or educated.

An alternative, yes, a solution, no. I already play with people that I know, however the competitive matches I've had in WWE 2K16 in 2K Tonight were much more enticing. Not to mention the amount of friends I made doing it. Nevertheless, even if only play with friends, it wouldn't change the fact that the mechanics are broken.

well i feel your pain i think that's why i stopped playing online.

idk what to tell you other than to bombard 2k's twitter (in a respectable manner) about the issues you're facing. and if you haven't, submit a support ticket

didn't read all of it, but i know what ya mean, like no matter what its like my opponent always has the advantage. Say i do a reversal before i can even recover and take advantage my opponent has already recovered and attacks me. Same thing the other way around were my opponent does the reversal they still get up and attacking me before im even back up fully. end up having to waste 2 or 3 reversals at once before i know it im out of reversals and they still bout full lol

i think one solution would be to make it optional for the reversals to either be limited or unlimited.
