bluemonkeymagic
Unless its my imagination, it looks and plays so much better. I wonder if they snuck in Pro support in the last patch?
Auday
It's your imagination. They didn't patch it to run 4k yet. However, they did patch NBA 2k17.
Cave Waverider
Unless its my imagination, it looks and plays so much better. I wonder if they snuck in Pro support in the last patch?Since the PS4Pro has more powerful hardware than a regular PS4, I wouldn't be surprised if it runs the game better. It probably doesn't even need to be optimized for it and will just use the additional resources available if needed. It might also look better if the game doesn't revert to low-res/blurry textures as much due to the performance overhead. There isn't really any need for "Pro support" to get performance up in hardware bottlenecked cases. If you want native Ultra HD resolution support, of course, it'll need a patch (I doubt that'll come) but the performance will likely be rather abysmal, since the PS4Pro isn't really powerful enough to run most ames at full details at Ultra HD resolution and smooth framerates (I doubt Project Scorpio will be either, by the way, especially since the only csingle onsumer PC video card that can run all games at full details and Ultra HD resolutions at 60FPS right now is the Titan X (Pascal) with it's ~11TFLOPs of FPP while the PS4Pro's APU has ~4.2TFLOPs and the Scorpio's is rumoured to have ~6TFLOPs).I can tell you that when comparing the game on an Xbox One and an Xbox One S, the framerate doesn't drop as much on the Xbox One S during certain entrances, etc. and also doesn't revert to blurry textures as much, which is likely due to the slightly higher clocks of the S model, too. EZY
I have the Pro, and I also thought it was just me in thinking the game looked better and played better. The games seems to load faster as well(Sata 3?). I was under the impression the game wouldn't look or play better without a patch.
bluemonkeymagic
It's definitely enhanced for Pro. I did a few matches on the original ps4 and then on the pro and the changes feel fantastic. It's not all games, some of my other ps4 games look exactly the same on the pro, which lead me to believe that it's been built with pro in mind or at least enhanced in some way.
