problems editing the strings

Posted (edited)

I have edited the 0000.pac files to add the names of the new wwe2k17 wrestlers into my game, but i am having problems injecting the 5000.pac into my string_dlc05 pac file, i think i am doing something wrong , i can't remember the correct procedure.

After edited the 0000.pac file i have injected into the 5000.pac file but i cant inject the 5000.pac file into the string_dlc05.pac file getting an error all time in xpacker.

In xpaker I have to inject or compress and inject the files? (0000.pac into 5000.pac ) (5000.pac into string_dlc5.pac)

then i have to replace or inject the files in leffuflie to comeback into the dlc file?

thanks guys

Hey buddy, I used to have the same problem until someone (Mathayus I think) told me how to workaround it.

Once you've used XPacker to inject the 0000.pac file into the 5000.pac file you then need to open the updated 5000.pac and string.pac files in a hex editor.

In the String.pac file,do a text search for the first line of the 5000.pac file and highlight everything until you reach the start of the next file in the pac (you can tell because the rows and rows of ........... indicate the end of the 5000.pac) then copy/paste the hex data of you edited 5000.pac file over the top.

If it helps, in my String.pac file the 5000.pac file starts at line AD000 and ends at C8FF0

-EDIT

I've just read that back and I'm not sure it makes sense. Let me know if you need me to try to explain it better!

I will try bro but i think you can do it with xpacker, in the past i edited my 0000.pac many times and used xpacker to inject all files into the dlc with succes but can't remember how i did that

thanks

Finally i solved my problem

0000------5000  INJECT using Xpacker

5000----STRING_DLC(opening pac containing directories)  INJECT using Xpacker

replace string and catalog in the dlc and sign for dev
