Thinking of getting 2k17 - opinions needed

Hey folks,

Some may know me. Long time creator. I bought a PS4 for 2K15 from ebay but sold it as '15 was pish. I'm liking the look of this game so considering hitting ebay again.

I have 2 questions and I'd love to hear some feedback.

1. Is this game really a lot better than '15 and '16 in terms of gameplay and creations?

2. Could I still get the Goldberg and NXT downloads even though the game has been out for a bit?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. As thank you here's a photo of a happy monkey.

I think the gameplay is better, there are a couple of annoyances with caw mode though

The Goldberg DLC is coming out next week and I presume someone still has a NXT code they're willing to sell

Gameplay is much better and caw mode does seem improved, but also rushed which has causes a fair few problems and obvious exclusions. But if you can ignore those it's pretty fun.

Even if no one wants to sell the Shinsuke pack, it should be out by the end of the year anyways.

Haven't had enough time to go through caw mode properly but I love the gameplay so far. Definitely prefer it to 2K16, and if nothing else caw mode has a lot more parts to play around with compared to the last couple of games.

I'd be hesitant over buying a console just for this. Too many crashes for my liking, even post patch. Those could be an Xbox thing though. I wouldn't say it's any better than 2K16 really. There's more there than 2K16, but at the same time there's more broken than 2K16 too. I don't think buying a console for one game is ever a great idea, and this game is definitely not one i'd buy a console for. That said, when things work as they should, it is a pretty fun game. I don't think the game is worth full retail either in it's current state.

what fufu said. there's no point buying it just for this game. if you do, get something else with it at least.

can hopefully get a console and 2nd hand copy of the game on ebay for £130 - then if needed can sell the console for the same price or more later on - I did that last time and lost no money

I agree with Fufu also it is a good game be a lot better if there wasn't so many bugs, but I remember when 2k15 was coming out I had to by an xbone! Was a little disappointed with but at least there was other games to play... But there wasn't that many games I wanted to play lol but buying it for this game? I probably would but that's me. £130? Aint a bad price tbh

Also, I've not created since 2k15 - I see there has been a patch addressing issues when downloading caws and arenas with lots of logos - has it been fixed? Is there anything else I should be careful with when cawing and uploading/downloading?

Patch seems to have fixed do issues, for me anyway. And if you're back then PLEASE give us your Saturn! Haven't seen a really good one since you last made one!

I literally only got a PS4 for the Dynasty Warriors series, so if you really like WWE games, this one is much better than the previous two. CAW nuisances galore though, as usual.

depends, if ur like me spend 80% of the time messing around with caw/superstar edits then yeah, but not sure bout gameplay as like i said i spend about 80-90% of the time in creations so not that familiar with gameplay and rather or not its better than 2k16, besides new modes like backstage brawl

Yea but that was on PS4, and you were meant to turn Alexa Bliss into Rainbow Dash. Although if you want to turn Taker into Rainbow Dash as well then that would be great!

So, I have 2 last questions - I hear there are problems with making a second attire sometimes - Is this still the case? 

I really don't want to corrupt my save and not familiar with the PS4. I hear people talking about backing up their saves - is this quite easy?

bro backing up saves is easy..mostly all bugs are fixed  since the patch

just wouldnt recommend letting the ps4 go into save mode unless you backed out of the game

backing up is easy bro it's about pretty much how it was on the 360 you just go to application saved data, select what game you want to copy to usb/flash drive and just wait for it to complete.

that crash glitch i haven't come across it this year it only happened to me twice and that's cause i kept trying to remove warrior's facepaint and add a new one.
