Face photo import template or tips?

So far all of the photos I've tried uploading (including ones from last year) look terrible. Any tips?

Yea, this drove me up the walls. I tried making X-Pac yesterday using both a photograph and a close up, front on render of his face from 2K17 and they both look bizzare when I try and do anything with them. I've tried both cutting out with feathered edges and using the photo as normal and it's really bad looking.

You actually don´t need a template, you an morph the picture freely.

I had to remove the mouth because he was smiling, and the teeth would show ingame thats why I removed the Mouth
