WCW/nWo 97-2001 Arena Thread - Updated Thunder & Starrcade 97 Uploaded! *1/27/17*

Ok.. A REAL Halloween Havoc (1997) has been uploaded. Proper aprons, logos, ads lol.. Unfortunately you can only add one set of tombstones. Other than that I feel like this is the best arena I've made so far. Thunder '99 is on hold. I realized it's pretty much the same as 98 but with the updated WCW logo and blue ropes. The black aprons didn't come until 2000 I guess. I'll do 2000 later and upload Thunder '99 when I get more slots in my 1999 account. Hopefully I can get my textures looking right because so far all that's been uploaded was Nitro '99

Really solid work here, as always, Hov. I love how your arenas are always very detailed and realistic, unlike most of the arenas that are already in the game. I always enjoy using them and I def agree that your Halloween Havoc '97 arena is prob the best one that you've made thus far. My other favs are Nitro '98 & '99 (last year), and Thunder '98 (I believe) was also quite good. Of course, you had so many others that were equally as amazing, but those were the ones that I used the most. Keep up the good work, Brother! (Hulk Hogan voice)

I'm almost finished with my 99 Era texture. hopefully I'll be able to crank those out soon when I figure out how to do lighting colors.

lol damn. hopefully i can get to ps4. I wanna knock everything out so I can start prepping things to port for an eventual WCW/nWo conversion mod for 2K17. I was looking at the Create a Show stuff.. I didn't know that you could do video montages for your openers. If I can use real WCW video footage for that on PC, it'll definitely boost this realism and accuracy plan I'm trying to make happen. Plus I still have to finish my Crow Sting pack.

that looks great! yeah i did my own vid for raw and nitro just to see what could be done. the biggest issue was loading the cutscenes but once i did that, i just made the in game characters i was using alternates so they would appear in their cinematic/street attires lol. but yeah i was trying to replicate the stage for your starrcade 96 from 2k16 cause i needed to finish recording starrcade in 2k16 but wanted the show intro to give it a bigger presentation feel but no biggie lol. i know things are probably alot easier with the pc versions lol. less red tape to hop through

nah. they keep showing up in whatever attire you have assigned in the edit superstar menu in universe. pretty much like last year. i wish they did bring that back but nope. that's why so many of the in game models i used in that one nitro intro were set as caws and not alt attires. because if you go into the video creator thing they all show up in their wrestling gear. they'll show up in whatever attire you have assigned in universe for the promos and cutscenes but for that video creator thing it's always default lol. i'm actually thinking of doing one somewhat like how the wcw nitro game intro used to be.

gotcha. I had hopes for that. My plan is/was to do backstage attires for everyone regardless. Especially nWo members.

yeah same here. like i said i was at starrcade 96.

and what i usually did last year cause universe cutscenes were so far and few between is i'd "horde" cutscenes from a dummy profile. but what i have started doing on my current universe is i am running 2 universes simultaneously. one is the actual universe for matches and the 2nd i'm using exclusively for the promo engine so people like the miz etc show up in their suit/street attire.  I can't say how happy i am of the promos stuff cause it really does help to further storylines lol

Souled Out 99 is now available on CC..

I finally finished my rendering for my stage. Came out pretty good. I can make some improvements as I go forward but this makes it a lot easier to crank out with 99. I'll likely do Mayhem next. I got 3 slots remaining for 1999. So the following uploads will likely be

• Mayhem '99
• Spring Stampede '99
• SuperBrawl IX or Road Wild '99

I'll begin work on my 2000 Era stuff as well, starting with Nitro 2000.

I have new arenas to upload, but I'm having a huge problem with CC. I'm Gold right now, but every time I try to upload an arena, the empty slot shows whatever I have listed above it. So When I pick an empty slot, Halloween Havoc will pop up, telling me to delete it or preview. What the fuck?

Can't really figure out the deal with my other account. I wanted to finish 97, with the exception of Spring Stampede... Guess I'll have to wait for the patch to move forward on that account..

 

Meanwhile, Bash at the Beach '98 is up. I've finished modeling my 2000 Era stages. I just have to render my lighting. I'll likely have Nitro 2000 up at the least later tonight.

Anyways....back on topic....great work with Bash @ The Beach '98...even though it's basically the same set-up as '97. Any chance for the '95 version? I think I prob liked that one the best, although '96 was quite memorable as well with the first formation of the nWo. Keep up the solid work, my dude!

Thank you. Probably not, though man. I have a lot of arenas to go, and I'm really only doing this to preview my textures that I'm updating for when I continue my conversion mod for the PC version of 2K. Might as well share the wealth on console.

I haven't really messed with that file in a bit.. I have to figure out lighting.. It's been a bit difficult getting it the way I want to look, and how it actually is in real life. As I learn and get better I can go back and update it, but for now the current version I have up on CC will do. 

I will be doing Greed and Sin. I started working on the stage setup for the later 2000-2001 arenas last night, so hopefully I can crank those out quickly.

Also, amazing work on the 3-D objects. Using those to create the graphics for the CAA mode is fantastic.

hmmm.. I guess the glitch didn't work. It let me upload it earlier this morning. I guess I'll have to wait until the patch, then try again. The current glitch won't let me use any Gold slots on my 1997 account, and I haven't left bronze on my other ones yet.

ohhhh ok.. yeah i'm not able to upload anything on that account right now. i somehow i managed to get the arena up. but i still have 5 gold slots, so it pretty much gave me a freebee. When I tried to upload the show that's when i realized it's still glitched.

The slot glitch wasn't fixed with Community Creations so this project might get put on hold.
