Def Dave Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Hey folks,I'm planning to move to a new computer soon and I'd like to be able to migrate my caws over. Is this possible at the moment? Also, since CC's search is so f'd up...would it be possible to share creations on sites like SmackTalks for others to download and install in their own game? Quote
Bruce Banner Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Im not entirely sure it'll work to transfer to a different computer altogether , but if you back up your save folder for the game from the Steam userdata folder and then swap it for the one that gets installed when you reinstall the game on your new comp then hopefully itll copy all your caws and save games over . Thats worked for me for going back to a previous game state on the same computer I saved from so it may or may not work on a different computer and also has the potential risk of corrupting the fresh save you have on your new comp . I do all this swapping over of folders with the steam cloud off as I find theres less potential for corruption that way , but its a risk all the same . If you move to your new comp next year after the 2k16 servers go down then youd really have no other methods of getting your caws so it would probably be worth the risk . But if its before then then you might want to take the redownloading of caws route but thats up to you . Quote

Steam will automatically download your 2k16 save with all caws from the Steam cloud. But its atm not possible to share caws with others (without cc) on 2k16 pc. The save will become corrupt. Quote
Matt6sic6 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) Dunno how people feel about BrienJ these days, but he used to offer a caw injecter each year. You had to pay for it though, and if memory serves correct he only developed tools for the xbox 360. I haven't spoken to him in over 3 years, but I recall him having some heat with different communities, and generally didn't care for quote unquote "n00bs". I can't blame the guy for having little patience, as I don't have much myself. Mouth breathers tend to irritate me too... what was I saying? I forget. Edited October 11, 2016 by Matt6sic6 Quote
kim666 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Your memory serves you wrong! Brienj released his tools always free. Quote
Matt6sic6 Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Well excuse the hell right out of me. Quote
