Game constantly deletes all CAWs

Hi,

I've been playing MyCareer with my own character ever since the game was released for PC and never had any problems with it. Recently, I`ve started playing Universe Mode, preliminary focusing on matches with my created wrestler. This had been going on for a couple of weeks until, all of a sudden, the game just deleted all of my CAWs (well, I only had one), which is, of course, really unnerving since I've put a lot of effort into creating my character and building my own "fantasy league" of sorts. The process usually goes as follows: I play a match with my CAW and then move ahead in the calendar to the next show, then it'll correctly display the name of my wrestler on the match card but instead of showing his actual design on the banner for the match (where you can usually see the pictures of the competitors) it just shows a silhouette, as if his slot was left vacant. Then in the match, my character is replaced with the default custom superstar model but with the move-set of my character still left intact. If you then go into the creation suite you can still select the "Edit Custom Superstar"-option but the list of CAWs will be empty. Restarting the game will then disable the editing menu completely and the game will act as if my CAWs had never existed. Every other aspect of the save file is left completely untouched by this so the game really only "forgets" about the CAWs.

Of course, I have already tried re-installing the game but that didn't help at all. What I just don't understand is that the game would work perfectly for months and then just start developing a behaviour like this. It doesn't have anything to do with Universe Mode either, since sometimes, even editing a move-set or entrance can result in the CAWs being deleted (even if you don't edit a custom wrestler). Literally anything you do can result in the deletion of my CAWs.

 

Has anyone ever experienced this and found a fix? The only possible explanation I can possibly offer is that Matt Hardy decided to infiltrate my PC.

I've looked at what files are in my save file folder before and after the game deletes everything again and here's what I've found:

Copying the deleted files into the folder will result in a "save file corrupted"-message at the title screen.

 

Honestly, this has really made me quite depressed since I've really enjoyed playing the game so much but now I just can't (yes, I could play with only the original roster but it just doesn't feel the same ),
