EXecutionerX85 Posted September 2, 2016 Posted September 2, 2016 Hey guys I have received alot of pms regarding face textures (custom textures for in game guys etc) regarding a topic i once had. I thought that I would go ahead and make a walkthrough on how to do it on Photoshop to help some users out, and also provided template photos(some of them are not mine) that will help the community. I will also provide help to those that need help with their textures as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lApv4tDSqc&fmt=18 Quote
mrelectriccity Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 i still prefer using 3d models that way u have full body textures front sides and back and makes them look more realistic, but mainly depends on who your creating Quote
EXecutionerX85 Posted September 3, 2016 Author Posted September 3, 2016 Thats cool too man/ I do the same aswell but some people still don't know how to do all that lol I really like your content btw Quote
mrelectriccity Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 (edited) thanks, and thanks for the templates and tut, i'ma try it out on some pictures of real faces and taking the lighting in them out. i always had trouble making them look right when tryin to do it oh yeah its also better if u make a cut out of face alone without the extra skin to use as a regular custom logo to place over it after u use the photo captured one to morph it, if u want all the details such as wrinkles on ur caw Edited September 3, 2016 by mrelectriccity Quote
HiPcavallo Posted September 3, 2016 Posted September 3, 2016 You can just simply draw over the face photo to emphasize all of the detailing so you won't need to waste any additional layers or logos. Quote

HiPcavallo Posted September 4, 2016 Posted September 4, 2016 I meant before you apply the face photo. You can get all the detailing you need for most guys with the imported face photo alone, you just need to emphasize it a bit before you use it in game. Quote

HiPcavallo Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Yea, I'd definitely recommend people try doing it, same goes for lip colour. Making them brighter than they should be makes them balance out correctly in game and saves you having to use lipstick to get the right colour. The face texture I used for AJ Styles makes him look like a drag queen, but in game it works perfectly. It takes more effort since it does require a little bit of trial and error but the results are definitely worth it. Quote

I dont' have the free time i used to have so i haven't really tried using Photoshop in a long while. I'm amazed at the stuff the community comes up with. man i remember back in the day when all we had was Paint Shop Pro, MS Pain, and Macromedia Fireworks lol. that seemed to be a different lifetime ago. EXecutionerX85 Posted September 6, 2016 Author Posted September 6, 2016 I always do separate layers for detailing. Like I said in the video when you add age lines to the forehead they are more visible then the details below the nose. So I use other layers for those. I've spent hundreds of hours on caw mode lol and honestly If you want a good result you have to have a good resolution picture , edited detailing such as eye wrinkles/cheek bones/ eyelids etc. to make a good texture the whole import a photo without editing will end in disaster unless it's a high resolution ( media press event) that a actual photogapher took Quote
