Importing Advanced Entrance Parts?

Recommended Posts

Is this possible? Let me explain what I mean. As you know, those of you who installed Rob Van Dam and tried importing his entrance know that it doesn't work well with every arena. He jitters and seizures all down the runway, but I've noticed once he's actually inside the ring he's fine, whice is great because he does the RVD double thumb taunt once he's inside. So in theory you could make up an advanced entrace up to that point of pieced together segments and then tack on the real in-ring segment and get by with a somewhat authentic feel... So my question is simple, can you import entrance segments or only full complete ones? Because when using data editor when I create an advanced entrance and try this out, once it gets to the last ring segment the entrace ends right after the in-ring part and doesn't play. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can only assume that it's because the advanced entrance segments are seperate files you piece together, where as the simple entrances are single separate files. If this is the case, can someone dig up Van Dam's final ring segment and shoot me a link and tell me how and where to install it?

Thank you.

You are correct - the Advanced Entrances are separate files. 10100 is Rock's intro, 11100 is the stage, 12100 is the ramp, 13100 is the ring-in, and 14100 is the ring. If you have 2K15, you need to find RVD's entrance in one of the Entrancexx pac files, scroll down until you see the entrance repeated twice (ie. 100, 101, 102... 10100, 10101, 10102... 100, 101, 102...). These are the EVZ. Find RVD's ring entrance, and extract it. Go to the 2K16 folder\evt, find 14100 and make a copy of it.

Open the copied 14100 in a hex editor, and search for offset 0x800. Where the EVZ is, change it to whatever RVD's pac is and save. Then, open the file in X-Packer and use the second entry to inject RVD's entrance. I don't use Data Editor, but I'm sure Cave Waverider can help with that. :)

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I don't own a copy of 2k15 just yet. Was thinking of picking up a copy next payday. So unless someone can hook me up with said file, I'll need to wait some.
