As seen in the status promoted by WWE 2K, Paul Heyman urged the audience to applaud Bill Goldberg for "being a supporting player in the video game that stars followed by the latter proclaiming, "Hey Bill, you're next."

In an interview conducted by Adam from WhatCulture, Brock Lesnar responded by issuing a challenge to Goldberg saying, "If Bill Goldberg has the balls to step back into the ring with me, where's he at? To a question that asked if he was ready to fight the man, Lesnar retorted that he'd been ready for ten years and guaranteed on a different outcome than their last encounter.
