So...I need to see these changes in play because the first two sound terrible.  I get that they're trying to end the endless ladder matches but I am not sure, plus I (used to) enjoy the freedom of setting up new spots in ladder matches

The thing I'm most excited about is being about to transition from any “No DQ” style match right into a backstage scrap + being able to take our fights in the crowd section during any match type regardless of rules set. Also, the option to revert back to the button bashing/"breaking point" style submission. I'm very pleased with all of that.

It will still happen if two characters try to grapple each other simultaneously, or in other situations based on the wrestler’s style and personality, but it is no longer the standard way to start a match." - About damn time- YES!!!!

you can still set up the ladders where you want, i think it was worded wrong, it's mostly so you don't have to figgit trying to place the ladder in the right place to get the briefcase/title. i think this could be a good thing but yeah we'll have to see it in action to judge that. the person that wrote this article obviously is not a big wrestling fan. i mean he didn't even try out the crowd/backstage fighting at all.

i never said it was his job. my point is these people that play said games hardly ever check stuff that needs to be checked out. when all those youtubers went to THQ's Playtest for WWE13 not 1 of them. NOT ONE. mentioned to the devs or publicized that there was a 1 count issue. i doubt very seriously that it wasn't there in their build and it just popped up. this has happened every time a youtuber got to "test" the game out or a game reviewer in that retrospect.

And how do you know it wasn't a brief demo? The guy said he didn't get to try it out, he also said that he wasn't able to try out Universe or My Career. To me that says he was either limited in time or in what he was able to do. Maybe he didn't try it because he was simply more invested in the other features he tried and simply ran out of time before he got a chance. The guy was just giving us a sneak peak as to what we can expect to see, not a full on review of the game, so this is hardly a fair comparison.

First, that article was written by Vince Ingenito who is a huge WWE fan and plays a ton of WWE so anyone who says different is a moron.  Second, he was playing a preview build that didn't have everything in it and had very limited hands on time with it.  I'm sure that he just wanted to get a feel for the basic gameplay and we don't even know if the backstage fighting was available in his build. Stop judging the only person to give us actual information on the game other than the roster.

tbh... the backstage and crowd fighting is cool, but it would be the last thing I would try. I'm much more interested in creation suite additions, the my career and universe  improvements and gameplay changes. I would even try the ladder match or triple threat match to see how I felt about the "roll out" feature. Thats if I had limited time to play.

How do you know if there is no backtage in the gamescom demo ?

I fucking hope so. In WWE 12 and 13 elimination triple threats were one of my most played match types, especially when I was doing ECW shows in universe since that's how they always used to do triple threats. I was insanely disappointed that they weren't in 2K16 :\
