Any way to have Mods without long loading times

Whenever I do the method of using a blank chunk_cache.bin, the game takes around 5 minutes to start each time. With the normal chunk_cache.bin, the game loads in about 15 seconds. Is there anyway to have mods and still maintain fast loading times?

The problem is your PC dude. I have this problem too since my PC is pretty shitty. It takes me about 5 minutes to boot the game, I have to look at Stone Cold for that 5 fucking minutes, with or without mods.

Well i Do have a beast computer, but it still takes a while in the splash screen. I noticed, that it takes longer after installing a new mod approx. 1-3 minutes.

As a reminder, my game loads in 15 seconds without mods, 5 mins with mods ( changing Music or Titan-trons doesn't affect anything btw)

Soooo I'm the only one who has a shitty PC here... But at least I don't have to wait 5 mkre minutes when I use mods xD

I don't understand this. I mean, yeah, my computer is pretty good, I can JUST about get an A rating with the graphics on max settings even though it lags a little during certain parts of entrances... but installing a new mod doesn't seem to affect my load times at all. I generally have to wait 30 seconds the first time I run the game after I've restarted the PC after a shutdown, but once the files are in the memory then the splash screen only displays for a few seconds, even when I've got new mods installed.

My PC is far from shitty and it's the same thing for me. If I use a clean install of the game it takes 15 seconds. It's obviously not normal that it takes 5 minutes to load up a game. One of the main reasons I don't even use the game that much.

Same here. First start takes a while, 30 seconds or so. After that it starts instantly until next restart of my PC. Mods don't affect my loading times, too. At least not in a noticeable way. Maybe my SSD makes some differences here.

I reckon that's probably it mate. Never going back to regular hard disk drives if I can help it, they're always fine to start with but they just get slower and slower the longer you have your OS installed on them, whereas SSDs don't.

The chunk_cache bin file is where the game goes to look for the files  so it loads faster. I think they added it with a patch when the game was released because of the long loading times. You have to replace the file in order to have files that are larger sizes as mods. There is nothing wrong with your computer.
