Need more shine!! Help needed

Hi folks, back with another newb question, hope someone can help me here. Pretty happy with the attire I'm currently working on, but once thing is really bugging me that I can't seem to fix - the buckles on these boots (click the images to enlarge them if needs be):

I need the buckles and silver logos to be more shiny. Not quite chrome, but almost there. I've tried whiting out the alpha in the normal, mutating the shader to Big E Boot Shine and blacking out the boots ao file as well. I'm happy with the level of shine on the boots in general, but the silver parts need to be much shinier. I've seen that other people have given specific parts of their attires more shine before, but I've no idea how to do it.
