Speaking of not making it to the game, Jamie Noble never ever did lol. He was kinda prominient in 2002-2003 but didn't make it into HCTP. Poor guy.

Worst part for Noble I thought was that he was teaming with Kid Kash back in 2006, Kash made it into SVR 2007 with their tag attire and everything and Noble didn't. Actually that games roster had some really weird choices looking back on it.

he was in as special referee for the Slaughter/Adnan/Mustafa - Hogan/Warrior Match in the Path of the Warrior DLC Showcase in 2k15.  I thought for sure he was in one of those games. i played Mayhem more than i played BSA even though i didn't like either so i could be mistaken.

and yeah Marcus was decent when he first came in back around SVR2010 but by the time SVR11 came out he turned into a complete asshole saying that the reason the moves were removed in that game and the corner and running moves were reduced to 1 slot instead of the usual 4 in the corner and 2 running/irish whip was because they looked outdated. then when he came back in 2k15 his excuse for all the matchtypes and stuff that was removed was that they were building a foundation. okay i can spin a little with that but the fact that Elimination style Extreme rules matches were locked. and playable in my career pretty much called him out on that. plus he didn't even know that Regal was in current gen 2k15. so after that i just ceased to care. 2k/THQ has always had bad community managers. from Marcus, to Aubrey, To Jared Back to Marcus and Now Vore.  honestly i like vore the most cause atleast he doesn't tell lies.

I know Sid was in '15 but I did not count that since he was just an NPC in 2k15 which explains his awkward ugly model & lack of detail. Just like with Piper in 2k14 but at least they gave us his Superstar Head to work with. In 2k15, players didn't even have that option for Sid.

Jared was the worst of all them imo. Completely out of touch, he got sick & basically quit...didn't he?

that was Jared's excuse. he was fired. when he started banning people on the 2k forums and the reasons ended up being "Mysogomy" that pretty much got him fired. matter of fact replicant and i were discussing that a few hours ago, that jared is probably having a field day since there's like 24 divas/women in 2k17 lol.

No Regal? Must say I'm seriously disappointed about that. Not sure how I feel about this roster to be honest, unless there are some really good DLC packs I'm probably going to pass on this years game.

Considering I only use maybe 10 percent of the in game roster this doesn't phase me, I'm looking more for additions that carry moves and possible attire additions that open up better CAWS. 

Asuka should have some really cool kicks and hopefully a couple new submission animations, really hoping they go all out with shinsuke this year like they did with Finn last year, especially considering he's the highlight of an NXT special edition. 

The only thing that really bums me out this year is the lack of sigs and finisher reveal videos, that was always my favorite. 
 

For me its not that the roster is bad or anything, there's a lot I love about this roster, especially the new additions like AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, American Alpha, and pretty much every new woman. It's just that I typically prefer to buy every second game, so 2K17 was always going to be a hard sell for me, and having to pay for additional DLC outside of the season pass doesn't help. I'm just not sure there's enough solid additions to tempt me to get this game while I'm still perfectly happy with the roster I have on 2K16 (and aside from The Revival I have all of the new additions I care about as caws on 2K16 anyway, and all pretty good ones to). If there's any chance I still get this game it'll come down to the DLC and any improvements made to the creation suite.

i already preordered and i'm not overly happy with the exclusions but i can deal with it. plus they haven't announced dlc or the alts yet so there's that. i would think so. i wouldn't think 2k would be that stupid to randomly insert razor and diesel yet cut out hall and nash. so all we can do is hope. and i hope there's some kind of wcw dlc as well. i'd love The Giant, Syxx, Curt Hennig, Scott Steiner, and maybe Kidman or Malenko since both of them pretty much work behind the scenes in wwe.  I still think it's odd that Road Dogg has been working with wwe all this time yet the only 2 games he's been in since the last 10 or so years in WWE13 and now 2k17. lol

as long as he has the long hair and not that tied ponytail thing he had in 2k16 i'd be okay with that. matter of fact they could use the same model they had in 2k14. they'd really just need to update it to match 2k17 graphics cause that model looked good back then to me. (i also want to hear JR do the "right now the giant, what's he doing?" cameos lol)

Yea the lack of London and Kendrick was mind boggling, they were the most over tag team in the company by far (well actually one of the most popular acts in the company all around) and they didn't make it in, yet virtually every other active team at the time did. Vito and Kash were odd choices, not necessarily because they made the cut, but because they got the entrances and attires they used whilst teaming with Nunzio, and Noble. If we'd been given Vito in a dress and crusierweight champion Kid Kash, or instead we got Kash and Noble, or Nunzio and Vito then those picks would've made perfect sense (well still not in favour of London and Kendrick, but still).. But I mean it'd be like if they just gave us one Uso, or Karl Anderson without Gallows.

yeah i can't remember if it was 07 or 08 i'm thinking it was 08 where IGN basically said it was nothing but a copy/paste of 07 with the only change being that 24/7 mode thing and them limiting moves to fighting styles. lol that game pissed me off so much

 

but yeah the problem is they only listen to people on the 2k forums. i remember when aubrey first joined and i sent him a tweet stating that this place (Smacktalks) was the best place that had ideas and such and such great suggestions and wishlists every year (this was around wwe13 i believe) and he responded with a "we're not concerned with any other forum than our own forums" i thought that was so shady and stuck up and i noticed that the series in a way went down hill. yeah the gameplay is still the best but like those glitches we've reported like forever that still haven't been fixed (like the universe cutscenes for example) instead of fixing them they remove cutscenes out of minor shows lol

LOL i won't lie i got a laugh out of the end of your post, but wait 2013? that would have been 2k14 right? but yeah the ref has always been a problem in these games.  i don't really have that much of an issue with the ref in 2k16 other than the fact he won't stay down past 5 seconds unless it's that cutscene where he gets KO'd at the start of the match. i know i had one video where i was doing the bulldogg/hbk rivalry in my universe and HBK was tuning up the band and Bulldog ducked and HBK hit the ref full on with the SCM LOL i have to find that vid cause it was completely hilarious. and he stayed down a good 10 seconds, long enough for bulldogg to hit me with the powerslam LOL

Ha yea I saw that.  I've been a reader of the 2k forum for wwe games and it's painful.  So many people there repeat the same thing over and over, and think that forum is the be all end all.  Somehow it's better because it's controlled and civil or crap like that, when you see so many discussions there that show it's not like that at all, so delusional.  A few people really stand out as the leaders of that shit heap.  Luckily there are a couple people that will call someone out, I wouldn't last there I would probably just get banned.  I'm new to this forum but look forward to reading it.

Anyway, im guessing dlc will be a moves pack, nxt pack, hof pack, and legends pack, all assuming the nxt pre order thing doesn't count as one.  That's the other thing I love over there, the people who are all about the current roster make the dumbest arguments like saying mid tier guys from the past aren't legends, even though that's ust what people seem to refer to any past wrestler as, essentially making the argument useless.  sorry for the rant haha glad to be on this forum.

edit:  also if the season pass is $30 and there are 4 packs,  ill assume they are bigger then usual? hope so.
