Possible to use one glove on both hands?

So I'm working on some Booker T attires, I need a pair of fingerless gloves. Roman Reigns' glove looks perfect, but he only wears one glove. I injected the glove into 001A. I then tried importing the glove into blender, mirroring it to the other hand and then saving that as a new object and putting it into its own YOBJ and injecting it into 001B, but it glitched out like all hell.

Is there another way to do this?

I don't think so. I tried mirroring a lot of OBJs the only thing that worked is hair.

Ahh, ok, thanks man. Do you (or anyone else reading this) by any chance know of anyone I can use a similar pair of gloves from? I'm not too familiar with the current roster, truth be told, so I've not idea who wears what :unsure: EDIT: Nvm, found some :)

I know you have already fixed this but out of curiosity.

I haven't really got any experience with modelling for the game but could you not invert the x scale then flip the normals? you would probably have to invert the uv map on the x axis too to prevent mirroring.

Just throwing it out there as an idea.

Well it turns out the gloves that I found aren't quite as suitable as I thought haha. Tbh I think I might just texture the gloves onto his skin, probably just be easier and I can hopefully still get them a bit 3D with some normal magic ;)

thats the beauty of normal maps :D I'm still trying to get to grips with the most suitable look for the normal maps but its getting there ... slowly.

try using a less transparent normal map, it may give a stronger ridge effect, worth a shot.

or could you maybe cut off the hands of your character model and expand them slightly and mould them into gloves and create a new model by injecting the skeleton so they animate properly? (this is where that increased vertex count thing would come in useful).

Sorry if I'm way off, I've still to really look further into playing around with the models in blender and how they need to be added properly.

The idea was to pretty much copy the normal maps of the glove texture I was using into the body normals which would have made for some nice dimension. I'm very comfortable doing normals (even managed to create some nice 3D boot buckles on my current Booker T mod without reshaping the object, just using the normal file) but texturing the hand just wasn't working.

In the end I just ended up taking a full set of gloves and tucking the fingertips inside the skin, came out really well :)

Looks great, and them boot buckles look like they're modelled, fantastic.

Thanks folks :) I'm doing a pack of attires but I hope to finish it by the end of the weekend if I get time as I've done all the hard stuff now, mostly just gonna be retexturing and swapping objects around between attires.

Did originally have that attire down as a maybe when I decided on an attire pack, as I wanted to try and get at least one attire for each gimmick/look that Booker had throughout his time in WCW and ideally a 10-attire pack, but I'm having trouble with this one. My initial thought was to use Seth's attire from 2K15 as the top looked perfect - problem is, the top is all one object and I'm having a really tough time separating the top from the attachments (pockets, buckles etc) and I of course just need the attachments - I've managed it for the front part but the back is proving to be a bitch. I haven't given up yet but this attire sadly isn't certain at this point.

I figured the problem as it happens, there are parts missing from the object which I assume are filled in by bumps from the normal file. The outfit also comes with a belt around the bottoms so I might take it off of those and use it to fill in the missing strap on the top and do some reworking to mesh everything together. Hopefully it all works!
