we're actually talking about both. the post in question I was referring to at the very beginning had to do with both. in fact the argument we had was that the person was saying that 2k15 had more nxt people than legends and I was like no. then he said that graphics should be a bigger priority than scanning finn. so that's where I got all that from it was just someone that obviously doesn't watch the current product and felt like knocking the nxt product. but honestly I wouldn't have minded if all those people that HIP mentioned had ended up in either 16 or 17. don't get me wrong. I love legends, but I also agree with what people say on other forums that legends should be added as dlc and the current roster should be filled first. I mean for all we know we could still get the same amount of legends we got in 2k16 but the only difference is they're dlc instead of covering the on disc roster. that's just the way I see it.  I really wanted James Storm and Bobby Roode in 2k17.  Oh Well.. hopefully we get Austin Aries

nothing is out of date. i've said this about 5 times now.. okay 6th time.. These games are based on the previous year. this game is based on Mania 31-mania 32 which would make it in date. not outdated.

Being based on the previous year is a technicality because they need a cut off point, despite that they still try to be as current as possible. They've always included people that debuted right after mania, last year Neville's attire was one he debuted the night after Mania for example. Regardless being set around that time doesn't mean it isn't outdated, if it isn't current it is outdated, a dictionary will tell you that much.

attires they do. i think the most they've done is probably extreme rules last year which would have been payback this year. anything beyond that point is pretty much not going to be in aside for attire changes since that's just a easy fix. IE Orton getting his bearded look and unbearded as an alt attire in wwe12. granted that was THQ. so yeah that's pretty much where i'm going. this is probably why Nia and apollo are considered NXT Talent. i know apollo had been on main roster since what january? I forget but like i said they pretty much base it from the prior year's mania to the current year's so that's why everything is going based on mania 31-32. that would also pretty much explain why we got the mania 31 arena. i'm sure we'll have the mania 32 arena as well but yeah.

I understand adding whole new areans may be a stretch but at least changing the graphics package over to the new RAW & SDLive graphics plus music would seem like such a stretch. Surely you are just adding or replacing some video files and logos

If it were that easy, we would've had Rollins and Ambrose's single themes as well as Harper and Rowan's in 2K15.

This.  It definitely isn't that easy. they didn't even get the transitions to work with the dlc arenas in 2k16 so yeah. we'll just have to wait

My concern is, that the universe mode will (aside from his general weaknesses) not be able to comprehend the changes in WWE. 

IE the roster split, with  the new cruiserweight division on RAW perhaps even 4 championships on one show.

well we can do the roster split. that's doable. i'm doing that in 2k16 but yeah the main change that will probably still be undoable is the championship scene like you said, there's no way we could add more than 1 minor title. i figured i'd just do it as a silent division meaning the title isn't set as a slotted title but still will be defended pretty regularly.
