Crash With 3D Beard

First I Putted Hairs In 001A and 001B not working then put the beard in 001A and hair 2715 still not work!Please Help!:(

You have to render the head with the beard. Say you took Haku's beard - use Anatomizer to get rid of everything from his YOBJ apart from the head and beard. Then inject that YOBJ into the 001A. The head won't show if it's in the 001A, but the beard will.

Something that I got to work that I never really thought about was renaming all files inside the pach to YOBJ. I used to get a lot of crashes with zlibs, yobj, pac, uncompressed files batched in one. Doing this really fixed a lot of the errors I was getting in the past, along with using the right files for an entrance vs an in-game.  So I'd decompress every file and rename them like so when I create a new PACH file

 

0000.yobj

000A.pac

000C.pac

0050.yobj

00CA.yobj

00CD.yobj

00CE.yobj

00FA.yobj

00FB.yobj

2580.yobj

2715.yobj

4E22.yobj

 

Add your combinations or whatever facial hair stuff you have in your 000A file, and it should be a go. If you want it to look even better, add your facial hair textures to your face files inside 000C too.

what then what to do with head?

you single out whatever beard from the person you want to use in anatomizer. so if you used roman reigns beard... you'd take roman's 0000.yobj, and single out his beard .

then when you finish your edits in blender, inject roman's 0000.yobj that has just the beard and inject it into your 001A, 1B or whatever slot you use.

Actually I'm wrong. You keep his head AND the beard. Single out everything so you have 2 obj's in your 0000.YOBJ. You edit the head of the beard, and pinch it together so it's not visible to the wrestler's head that you're adding the beard to.

 

This is roman's head, and beard that I edited for Sting.

First modding tutorial (was by @AlcLegacy I believe) I ever watched told me to do that so that's what I've always done as well :)

If you want Owens' beard on Roman:

 

Open Owens' 0000.YOBJ with Anatomizer. Get rid of everything apart from the head and the beard.

Open the edited YOBJ in X-Rey. Export the head and beard as objects. Import then into blender.

Also import Roman's head into blender.

Scale down Owens' head so it's basically inside Roman's head and not visible. Now you can export that object.

Fit the beard to Roman's face. Export when you're done.

Inject Owens' head and beard back into his edited 0000.YOBJ.

Make sure you've removed Roman's beard from his 0000.YOBJ

Make your PACH file with 001A included.

Inject Owen's edited 0000.YOBJ with edited head and beard objects, into the 001A. Now that's ready to inject into your ch pac. That's it :)

 

That's just for the object of course - you'll also need to delete Roman's beard textures, copy in Owens' beard textures and fix the colour. Then create a new texture archive and inject that into your PACH.

No worries mate, been slowly working on a mod for Hollywood Hogan's nWo bestie Disciple and I literally just learned this the other week through trial, error and research (I read the same thread linked above that I CAN I WILL apparently already read, but I did actually learn from it :p).

editing beards are really tedious and trial and error because what you edit on one side effects what is done on the other, like hair editing. it's best when you're doing you're sculpting to work in wireframe mode with the beard selected so you know what to stretch and make bigger. you just gotta keep messing around with it. and using the translate button to move it outside the or expand it to fit romans face. You'll get it how you want it to look eventually. and if it doesn't look full enough, add KO's beard texture from KO's head.dds and head_f.dds file to roman's to give it some 2d volume that will fill the gaps that are missed within his 3d beard. Sometimes you may wanna import that head.dds into blender to see how it all looks with the 3d beard. It took me a bunch of tries to get Reign's Goatee to work on Sting, and even after finishing it I wasn't TOO satisfied. just gotta keep playing little by little and when you think you have something good, export it as beard1,2,3,4,5 so on and so forth, so if you screw up you have other reference points you can go back to work on.
