FinaleStar Posted July 18, 2016 Posted July 18, 2016 Does anyone know where to find the blood files for the game.It doesn't seem like they are like the SVR Games files where they are apart of the face texture.I can't seem to find them anywhere I look,I checked all the texture archives no luck.So if anyone knows where they are can you help me out , the blood already in game seems too "mild". Perfectplex Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) WWE2K16 > pac > ch > chCommon.pacWithin that is a pach called DAT In that you need 000A for blood DDS files and 000C for sweat files. The other files control the blood and sweat effects, I haven't looked thoroughly into these enough to give you a good explanation how they work, at least you have the textures to play with. Perfectplex Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 (edited) If you inject a dummy file into the 000A slot then repack the chcommon file and start an extreme rules match. Bust the opponent open and you will see no blood. They changed the blood method back in 2k15 in a patch after blood seemed to ooze out of random places on the body and so probable just use a couple of the files and never bothered to do a proper fix I think these are the left over blood files when they changed to simple decals rather than the oozing blood which is what used to bleed out of the sweat pores (bug).I will look into it more when i have the time. Its just tiresome work because you have to keep trying to bust them open just to do a quick test and that can take a while. If anybody wants to do some more intense testing they could make each blood file different colours to try and figure out which file does which stage.and if someone plays around with the control files and manages to get it to ooze or appear on more places on the body then I'm sure many would appreciate it. I'm not a big bloody hardcore fan as the novelty wore off for me but I know some would love a gore filled mod. Edited July 25, 2016 by Perfectplex 1 Quote

Perfectplex Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 I think these are the same ones, the thing that changed was they went from an oozing effect to a simple static decal that I believe just worsens in about 3 stages. so unless someone can work out the other files the best you can do for now is just modify the decals to make it look a bit different. Perfectplex Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Yep thats the one lol, I called it the stigmata bug. I think the problem was they used the sweat pores positioning so instead of sweat oozing out blood would seep out like he had been through a plate glass window. Quote

So it was a coding mishap that got through in the final build? Quote
Perfectplex Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Pretty much, a glaring oversight by their terrible quality and assurance play tester team. Quote
4 Life Posted July 26, 2016 Posted July 26, 2016 Pretty much, a glaring oversight by their terrible quality and assurance play tester team.Being a games tester seems like the easiest job in the world since the invention of internet-enabled patches, just play it for a bit and no pressure to discover anything other than immediately apparent glitches and let the community be the beta testers 1 Quote
FinaleStar Posted July 26, 2016 Author Posted July 26, 2016 Also what's the point of having eye blood, nose, mouth, back etc. in the game files if they're not going to be in game just seems like a waste of space. Quote
Perfectplex Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 It is likely they had one guy work on the blood and the powers that be cried about it being too gory and told him to tone it down to basic bleeding so he just left all the files he was working on and moved on with the replaced method. God forbid we see a little claret that might look a bit too realistic. Quote
Cave Waverider Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Maybe if we could access the original unpatched 2k15 blood files and replace them, it could work? Yeah, possibly with some work if we understand how exactly it used to work and how it works now. Problem is, If I remember correctly, the "realistic" blood was only available in the original Xbox One version before it got patched (the blood wasn't just texture based there, it appeared to be actually physics-simulated liquid which ran down the body in different patterns due to physics influence and even smeared all over the body and any objects in the game - posts, ring, mats, etc. whenever a bloody spot collided with something else). The PC version never had this blood enabled, neither did the PS4 version (although traces may still have been in the files).I don't think that anybody has broken the file encryption for the Xbox One/PS4 yet anyway. Not sure if the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions ever had the "realistic" blood enabled as I haven't played them, but I'd think that probably not.In 2k16 the blood still appears to spread a bit, but it seems to be simply texture-based as it always appears to be the same pattern. 2 Quote
