Titavius
Just recently I've been adding some of the 2K16 attires to my CDLC as alts. (so Billy Gunn for example has both his WWE '13 and his 2K16 attires in the one slot) I did the misc pac edit where I swapped David Otunga's value for Billy's and everthing worked fine, until I swipe across and the attire name is all wrong. I changed my strings ages ago, and wrote down the new values so I'd remember what I changed them to. Billy's second attire should read 'Royal Rumble '01', but it doesn't. It's completely blank. All the hex values and everything are correct, the game just doesn't display the name. There's two attires, as I can still select them both, but no attire name for the second. Any insight would be helpful, as this has started happening with my other characters now. Edited July 17, 2016 by Titan83
kim666
What happens when you use the original string.pac?
Titavius
I haven't tried it. The string pac that I edited was the string_dlc05.pac. I don't think I have the original anymore. I replaced a few CDLC characters too without problems. But the old attires are still displayed in the selection screen (attire 1, blue, team etc) how do I remove those? They don't seem to appear in the misc pac :S
Red Rooster
Those attire 1, blue, team etc are probably from Superstar Threads attire names that are part of either the pofo or the moveset file (I cant remember which) that you downloaded from somebody else who had SS threads attire in their game. Some strings dont show up for a reason that is beyond me, I thought there might be a maximum length but then some stupidly long ones do work and show up in game. Another thing to check is make sure you have the bytes around the right way, they need to be opposite to the ones in the actual sting file eg 43F0 has to be added to the misc as F043 ive fucked that up quite a few times. Titavius
That makes sense with the SS threads attires, because I remember somebody sending me one or two files after I fucked mine up. This must have been a while ago. To be honest, I just copied the hex values into the misc as they appear in the string file. School boy error. I haven't done shit like this in ages lol Edited July 17, 2016 by Titan83
kim666
Yeah, i remember these SS threads, they are part of the moveset. Injecting a default moveset should help.

Injecting a default moveset should help.yeah, that's what I did. I just injected the rock's pofo into every character with random SS threads and went from there Edited July 18, 2016 by Titan83
