Big Cass Entrance Issue

Recommended Posts

So as I stated in my other post, I changed Colin Cassady's name to Big Cass and changed all references to Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady to Big Cass as well in the string.pac file using HxD.

Well, now when coming out alone, Big Cass has the Quiet! I'm On The Phone entrance and his other entrance is nowhere to be found. I cannot change it back in Create-An-Entrance.

How can I fix this?

hmmmm ok to fix the issue open cheat engine and select the wwe2k16.exe now go into memory view and press control + g now paste this code in142740CE4

now right click in the bottom section. Right click it and select Display Type and 2 Byte Decimal. In the bottom box double click the upper left digit and replace the number with 574

now he should have his default entrance ;)

You can also load Big Cass' .moveset in the Data Editor (you can use the one in the Templates folder or, since you modified it, use Custom Character Tools' Export function to load it from the game into the Data Editor), assign the correct Entrance there, then re-install the .moveset file via CCT.
You can find out more details on how to do this in the Data Editor Tutorials.

I tried this, but instead he came out like either Booker T '96 or Stevie Ray of Harlem Heat lol.

I did make other name changes, I dont know if that would have any affect on that.

I changed Bad News Barrett to King Barrett, Diego to Primo, Fernando to Epico, Colin Cassady to Big Cass, and that MAY be it, but I am not sure.

BUMP.

Is there no way to fix Big Cass' entrance issue I am having?? It's like his entrance just got deleted or something and he's stuck with Quiet! I'm on the phone as his default entrance, because his entrance is the MOTION for Quiet! I'm on the phone but it SAYS Big Cass

Just tested my Big Cass and he too has the 'quiet I'm on the phone' entrance. This means that the ported over entrances from 2K15 is overriding the Big Cass entrance animation.

This isn't really a problem because it means that Big Cass' entrance isn't gone and is safely still in the game but is just being over ridden by the added file.

Just remove that entrance file and put it somewhere for safe keeping or rename it to an ID that isn't used, check Data Editor for an unused entrance animation slot, Remember you will have to change the actual ID in the file itself, renaming the pac isn't enough.

Or follow the link at the bottom of this post to my fix.

The file is 00482.pac in the WWE2K15 ported over entrance files which you will notice in Data Editor 482 is Big Cass' entrance animation.

I notice 105 isn't used by any animation in either 2k16 or 2k15 so I will change it to that, use a hex editor and scroll down to line 800 where you will see the references to the files within called 482, change this to 105 as shown here and save.

Now if you want to use Quiet I'm on the phone for someone you will just need to assign 105 as the entrance animation in Data Editor.

Rename the pac to 00105.pac (or as I do, 00105 - Im on the phone.pac).

Here is a list of the entrance and winning animations ported over, I have them as separate files so I can have complete control over them. This is before I changed 00482 to 00105

cbc1704a21a1a5486361e4d8c03d5b46.png

I'm going to check all these files against the WWE2K16 entrance ID's to see if there are any clashes.

Luckily not too many clashes, So here is the list of 2k15 port over entrance/winning animations that override 2k16's and will need altering to an empty slot.

Entrances:

00482 - Quiet, I'm on the phone > Colin Cassady

Winning:

06123 - Rey Mysterio > Rey Mysterio (Same?)

06145 - Shawn Michaels > Shawn Michaels (Same?)

06166 - Great Khali > Great Khali (Same?)

06360 - Damien Sandow > Damien Mizdow (Same?)

06420 - Xavier Woods > Alundra Blayze

08500 - Inferno Match Winner > Inferno Match Winner (Same?)

08600 - King of the Ring Winner > King of the Ring Winner (Same?)

09503 - Ultimate Warrior Champ Cage > The Outsiders

Fix found here.

I have decided to reply to your private message on here as it may help others too, don't be shy to expand on your topic if you are still stuck rather than private messaging, that is what the help section is for and its a learning curve for many but you will understand given time.

I read your reply in the WWE 2K15 port-over project thread.

Could you explain to me again how I can fix the issue I am having?
I was not having any problems at all until I edited the string.pac file and changed Colin Cassady's name to Big Cass.

It won't be string related, the game would have crashed a lot sooner than the entrance animation.

The problem is that if you have used the port over project you will have imported the entrance and winning animations too, these overwrite a few 2k16 entrances and winning animations, what you need to do is not use these files from the port over project but instead use mine or re-ID the animation files yourself and preferably for convenience put them in their own folder in the pac folder, I do it like so, this way there is all the 2K15 files contained in their own 'patch' folder.

5929d5310922f487e05cd99ffa3f837b.png

Inside this folder you can put all your WWE2K15 stuff by making your own folders, like so.

7983b7e3acff6f0043c03486571822a9.png

And now you can download my evt entrance and winning files which don't use up the same ID slot as any of the WWE2K16 files so wont replace any.

I have already assigned them new ID's and you can see these by downloading the data editor reference files as I provided in the fix, this allows you to see the new ID's of those entrance and winning animations that clashed with 2K16's.

3087612c03dd976dcafbfcdaa108c755.png

Note how I have marked that they are a 2K15 import.

You see the numbers with the empty spaces, that means that animations don't exist in them ID slots, If somebody was skilled enough and made an entrance animation for AJ Styles and ID'd it as 119 you see how this would then replace Andre the Giants entrance, so the author of the mod could just re-ID it to 120 so that its in an unused space.

What happens with the port over project is that the entrance and winning animations are using their old ID spots from 2K15 which some have now been replaced by 2K16, so when we import them the game reads the files and also reads the ported in files overriding the 2k16 files and gives the priority to whatever is last alphabetically.

So although Big Cass' entrance isn't gone the game has read that the slot 482 is for Quiet, I'm on the phone, because that is the file it read last for that slot number.

By reassigning a new ID reference slot number for the 'Quiet, I'm on the phone' animation this means Big Cass' entrance ID isn't being powered over by another file occupying slot 482 in the entrance animation ID's, it now occupies slot 105 (assuming you used my method).

If you are having problems removing the old 2K15 entrance and winning animations you will need to remove the evt items that came with the port over project and just download the set I made and follow the above guide for making your own folder for them, it isn't important that they have their own folder but you will find it much easier to find the 2K15 files this way.

First you will need to remove the older 2K15 ported over files to ensure there are no clashes.

I believe all the entrances are separate files but all the winning animations are in their own file called 2K15Winning.pac or something like that, you will need to look at the way you installed the game to find and remove these then just install the pack I put together which has them all as separate files and identifiable names.

I hope that clears things up a little easier.

So let me ask you this then.

When I go into my EVT folder and scroll down, I have 00482.pac and then right below that, I have 00482_ImOnPhone.pac

Would I corrupt or ruin anything if I just simply deleted the 00482_ImOnPhone.pac file? Would that be another way I could fix the issue I am having? The 00482.pac file is dated 3/24/16 and the 00482_ImOnPhone.pac file is dated 4/30/16, if that might be helpful in some way.

EDIT: Never mind! I edited the 00482_ImOnPhone.pac file and changed the 482s to 105 as you said above and I saved it and renamed the file to reflect the change and I tested it out and it worked! Thanks so much for the help! I really appreciate it!

Sorry for late reply, never ending internet issues.

It would have been fine to have simply deleted the 00482_ImOnPhone.pac but then you'd be an entrance file missing that you may one day wish to use, as you saw by altering the ID of the pach within the pac you moved it to an empty slot so now you still have it and its not in Big Cass' entrance slot :)

You're welcome.
