You suggested how good Bamco was at actually listening to fan wishes and requests, I explained how they actually incorporated many ideas from a popular fan project to reinforce your thesis. Then you went on about how the RB games aren't actually a joint venture between Bamco and a goddamn facebook page (no shit) but were co-developed with other genuine software houses (again, no shit?)

Raging blast  is not a collabo of Dimps and Namco/Bandai which is who is developing and distributing the Xenoverse series. i'm sorry but i'm convinced you're a troll and someone that has not played these games (if at all) very long.  I've played every single Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z game from Super Dragon Ball Z on PSX to Xenoverse 1 not counting DBZ Kinect. so just stop.

not only that. i am constantly on saiyan island and the only differences as i stated before between Raging Blast and the Xenoverse project (which has nothing to do with some facebook fan bullshit or whatever) is that there are no transformations for non-saiyan in-game characters and there are no destruction graphics at all. Like i said you are just trying to goad me into attacking you or whatever. not falling for that again. enjoy the rest of your evening. Maybe your Google Translator is malfunctioning or something. as i stated before i will not deal with anymore animosity, hatred or yelling.

You went on a completely unrelated tangent about the developers of Raging Blast when I simply said XV incorporated elements from a fanwish project which happened to have "Raging Blast" in the title of their facebook page. Which was to reinforce a thing you said I agreed with, just to show how much of a mean troll I am. I think you are actually trolling me.

No, I didn't ask if XV and RB were developed by the same devs, it was obviously a rhetorical question since I mentioned a fan project - or are you suggesting I genuinely thought a facebook page co-developed a licensed Dragonball game?

I stopped buying WWE games around SVR2007, and WWE 13 brought me back because of Attitude era mode, I loved 2k14 because of the roster & 30 Years of WM, 2k15 was kind of a bummer because of the Lazy Effort on HBK attires and the removal of Story Designer. I loved the increased roster and attention to detail in 2k16(even with the Hogan scandal robbing us of a almost perfect roster).

 

2k17 I really dont care much for.

They scrapped showcase mode

They didn't bring back story designer

They cut like 20 legends & on top of that they didnt make any new attires for any legends outside of the Outlaws & Outsiders.

And the DLC is pretty uninspiring as well

apparently he didn't get the joke. since most people that don't know english very well use G. Translate. but obviously he didn't get it.  It's whatever. i honestly don't care cause he'll be another that doesn't even return to the forums after the game releases.. he won't report any issues. he won't post in the 2k feedback thread etc So in essence he's not helping resolve these problems at all.  posting on here gets us nowhere when Smacktalks only comes around to post his useless videos, and FYI the guy that said i was bullshitting about the info. it's also been confirmed that the day one patch does fix the rivalries and they don't self delete when you add a manager to a rivalry match. so there that's all i'm gonna say take it with a grain of salt for now, but CavemanGamer is a reputable person. we've had our differences and arguments but i do still respect him and that's all i'm going to say about that.

I Have both last gen & current gen(ps3 & ps4), I mod on last gen & have fun experimenting with current gen. Regardless I abosolutely loved Story Designer & it having bugs means 2k should of fixed the bugs and improved on the mode, NOT SCRAP THE ENTIRE MODE!!!! 

 

But this year Imma pass on the game. Its essentially 2k16.5

I'm just annoyed that so many features from older games still didn't make it into the new ones (at least officially, some of the stuff is available under the hood, it just baffles my mind why they can't be arsed to add the stuff to the GUI). Like sitting on chairs, Tag Team Ladder/TLC matches, Match creator, etc..

Does anybody else feel this way? I actually took a little hiatus from the series the last time "fatigue" set in. Im not sure about the rest of you (though I'd love to know), but it looks like it might be time for me to do so once again.

Personally speaking, the enjoyment I get from tinkering with, tweaking and modding WWE 2K16 has actually exceeded playing the game. 

Despite Yukes' and VC's minor improvements and enhancements, the overall package just feels so amazingly stale. Surely this is not a problem unique to the WWE 2K series - all annual releases (Assassin's Creed, I'm looking directly at you) run the risk of creating this effect, with sports games in particular remaining the biggest offenders.

The problem is, unlike games such as Assassin's Creed,  Battlefield or Call of Duty, our sandbox is much, much smaller in scope, which only tends to compound the problem. Let's be honest - WWE 2K16 felt more like "WWE 2K15: The Game Play & Roster Update DLC Pack."

Details regarding WWE 2K17 have been pretty scarce, which may or may not be a good thing. Either way, I'm holding out hope that they do something awesome (if not groundbreaking) to reinvigorate WWE 2K's user base and get us all excited about this year's release. 

Where are the rest of you at with this series?

I'm with you on the tinkering. I downloaded 2K16 the other week, and Ive done nothing but mess around modding it, tinkering with it, f*****g it up, restarting, and asking for help on the forums on how to use the various tools and such. But yea I am one more for modding and tinkering with a game than actually playing it.

I am still awaiting my copy to drop through the letterbox so I cant comment on it yet. Like you say details are scarce, and as for YouTube vids so far, its skeptical to say the leaset which are bona fide and which are fakes.

I shall bide my time and see when it finally arrives.
