*These are just predictions, theories, and my ideas. This may not even be the Showcase for 2K17

Isn't this like, at least the third thread you have made listing 30+ matches for a showcase?

1. Do you really like showcase mode that much?

2. How do you have time for all of this anyway?

3. Way too many matches for one showcase mode. WAY too many.

I make these the way I would think 2K would make them, and last years showcase was like 30 matches too so..

 1. I don't LOVE it, but it gives us cool characters, attires, and arenas. and I don't enjoy MyCareer.

 2. I've made like 5 of these in like the past 7 months, and it takes 30-45 minutes

 3. i don't think its way too much, i think it's not too much and not too little.

It would only give space for one showcase though, like in 2K16, which was awful. Maybe it could be cool, as it would be something else than the Austin career we have played 1000 times now, although a Lesnar career isn't exactly the first thing I jump to if I want an extended showcase mode for someone.

30ish matches with the career of Undertaker, Triple H, or even John Cena would be pretty great imo.

Undertaker has wayy too many matches, although Triple H and John Cena showcases would be around 30-40 matches. I liked in 2K15 how there was like 5 small stories tho.

Don't have to feature all. You could easily do only 30-35 matches for all three of those guys.

I do think we will get a Lesnar showcase, although I think it might be one of a few smaller showcases.  I also think there's a chance we'll see Hogan again soon, and his match with Lesnar could be in the showcase with these from your list:

Brock Lesnar '02 w/ Paul Heyman vs. Rob Van Dam in the King of The Ring Finals at the King of The Ring 2002

Brock Lesnar '02 w/ Paul Heyman vs. The Rock '02 in a Singles Match for the WWE Undisputed Championship at SummerSlam 2002

Brock Lesnar '02 (c) w/ Paul Heyman vs. The Undertaker '03 in a Hell in a Cell Match for the WWE Championship at No Mercy 2002

Brock Lesnar '04 vs. Kurt Angle (c) in a Singles Match for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania XIX in 2003

Brock Lesnar '04 (c) vs. John Cena '03 in a Singles Match for the WWE Championship at Backlash 2003

Brock Lesnar '04 vs. Goldberg in a Special Referee Singles Match with Stone Cold Steve Austin as the ref at Wrestlemania 20 in 2004

Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena in an Extreme Rules Match at Extreme Rules 2012

One of the Triple H matches

Brock Lesnar w/ Paul Heyman vs. The Undertaker in a Singles Match at Wrestlemania 30 in 2014

Brock Lesnar (c) w/ Paul Heyman vs. John Cena in a Singles Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions 2014

I'd actually love to see a Kane showcase circa late 2002-2005, just imagine being able to play through the whole Katie Vick storyline, and everything that went down with Kane and Lita. I'm sure parents everywhere would be thrilled to see their kids play through it.

1. showcase is what gives us the legends and arenas etc. without the mode we would never get that much stuff. a lot of the current roster people keep saying how you hate how legends take over etc etc etc. this is a way to get legends and they not take over. without showcase/historical modes we wouldn't get all the stuff we've gotten from wwe13 - 2k16. I don't really like playing thru the showcases/historical modes at all but I love legends. that's the point of unlock all.

2. it doesn't take long to compose a list of all people especially lesnar cause his career has been completely boring.

3. 30 YOWM had 40 something matches, Attitude era mode had probably around 45 matches. and if you add the Punk, HBK, POW, HOP and OMM showcases together i'm sure they added up to about that amount. Austin had about 20 something.

yeah I can't stand my career either. lol it's completely pointless. I play universe 95% of the time i'm playing the game so the more people we get out of showcase the better. as I said in my previous post, we wouldn't have had all those entrances from WWE13-2k14 if it wasn't for those modes, and we wouldn't still have all those moves that people like so much if it wasn't for those modes as well as the legends we've gotten. people seem to think they could do a Legends pack like what they do with the moves pack but we all know if they did that it would be nothing but New Japan legends and no one else since Bryan Williams basically decides who goes on those dlc lists and sends it to wwe fo approval. so for now we'll just have to deal with the showcases, use unlock all and move forward.

my career could be good if they actually knew what went on with a wrestling show/business but they don't. they are trying to make a wwe career mode like the nba career mode and that's just not how things work. plus the microtransactions (albeit we don't have to buy anything with real money) is real silly considering we're using the unlock all thing. everything should be available in the career mode from the start. or just unlocked at certain points but you shouldn't have to "Grind" just to get that stuff.

So it doesn't take long because his career is boring? That makes no sense. You could say the same about Undertaker, he still has a long career, and the list was long as fuck, this comment makes no sense.

I have no idea what "30 YOWM" is, and the 2K15 showcases did it right, 40-50 something matches over 4 showcases. I'd rather have 3-4 showcases with 10 matches each over one big showcase with 40 fucking matches. Also Austin had 30+ this year.

no, they would never have put in Savio, Haku, Bulldog, Bret, Neidhart, etc etc if it wasn't for the showcase. matter of fact I still think that had Austin not done the leg drop in that ecw match with Whipwreck, 2k would have probably removed it cause no one else used the running leg drop except for Hogan.

no what I was saying is that Lesnar's career goes from 02 - now but he has had a boring as hell career and most of the matches would only give us Hogan, Angle, and guerrero if we are lucky. I don't know maybe guerrero is illegal or something cause they refuse to put Ruthless aggression guerrero in there.

30 YOWM = 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode from 2k14.

I wasn't sure if Austin had 30 +_to be honest I only played thru the mode cause I needed the cutscenes for my universe mode matches.  I'm all for the multiple showcases/story mode because it can still give so much while not forcing you to play as one person. and no I wouldn't want to play thru an entire taker only career cause a lot of his early matches I really had no interest in till maybe around mid-96 or whenever it was when he returned with the phantom of the opera mask. and his later years anything past HBK/Taker 2 I wouldn't be interested in. so yeah I wouldn't mind 3-4 showcases. heck I wouldn't mind if universe unlocked a bunch of legends. they could easily hide them behind universe but I just don't see that happening.  All I was saying is that I really don't see us getting the amount of legends we got in 2k16 (not counting DLC cause that's paid for) without a showcase or some kind of historical mode.  as I said I don't usually play them because I've mostly lived it and I was never a Austin fan so i'd rather just get the legends but that's why I use unlock all. cause I can assure you that if they removed the showcase or whatever. we wouldn't get anything else in it's place.

the most 2k would say is "well you got my career and universe, deal with it" lol

MyCareer just gets so damn boring. I wish they would amp it up more. Make it more like Season Mode. SYM (or another 'SmackDown!') game took storylines from the WWE and put it in the game, and you would have a lot of interesting things going on, and how you could choose to be an in-game wrestler not just a CAW. Hell, 24/7 mode from SVR08 would be better. They have the layout, they just need to make it better. I remember getting like 5 cutscenes every week or so in SVR08 during 24/7 Mode. MyGM should return if not this year, then next year, because of the Brand Split. Remember how cool it was? You had to sign different wrestlers for contracts, hire writers, create storylines, choose heels/faces, choose champions, make cards, it was a fantastic mode! (In my opinion SVR08 was my favourite for 24/7 Mode, and fighting in the crowd) And honestly, I don't mind the long showcases, I prefer rivalries than having a specific superstar tho, but it's cool to see matches from back in the day re-created. And honestly, Universe mode is so damn boring this year (sorry lol), the same thing happens. two people are in a rivalry, they attack eachother for a few weeks, they have a match, then it's the same thing over again. Honestly, if it were up to me, I would combine Universe and MyCareer. You have three options when opening up a save in Universe. Play as a WWE Superstar, Play as a GM, or Play as God (GM and Superstar, kind of like a sandbox mode). So if you for example wanted to lead a career for The Rock, you wouldn't have to play in the current arenas (if you don't want too) you can switch with arenas from CAA or the ones you unlock in Showcase Mode, and it would play out like MyCareer. I hope Story Designer would come back too. On 2K14, If I was bored, I would just go and download a story and play it. Now you have to do it on Universe and see how it plays out. It would be so much easier on Story Designer. Anyone know SVRGlobal? His youtube channel, with all the amazing stories from WWE13, and WWE12 were amazing! I can just imagine him making one in 2K17. If you haven't seen them you should check them out they are amazing. Wouldn't it be cool to have like a short 15 matches per story Road to Wrestlemania also? I remember playing that in SVR09,10,11 and in 12 it was way to damn long.

Lol anyways (sorry for that long ass comment) idk, they need to make this game good. Hopefully if they do make a Lesnar Showcase, they better make it interesting or something. Personally Batista or Randy Orton would be cool. I'd say The Rock but thats another Attitude Era showcase and this year was enough attitude era. Hopefully a Ruthless Aggression story. I'd personally also love a John Cena '02-'09 Showcase.

I'd actually love to see a Kane showcase circa late 2002-2005, just imagine being able to play through the whole Katie Vick storyline, and everything that went down with Kane and Lita. I'm sure parents everywhere would be thrilled to see their kids play through it.

Press X to fondle corpse

Isn't this like, at least the third thread you have made listing 30+ matches for a showcase?

1. Do you really like showcase mode that much?

2. How do you have time for all of this anyway?

3. Way too many matches for one showcase mode. WAY too many.

1. showcase is what gives us the legends and arenas etc. without the mode we would never get that much stuff. a lot of the current roster people keep saying how you hate how legends take over etc etc etc. this is a way to get legends and they not take over. without showcase/historical modes we wouldn't get all the stuff we've gotten from wwe13 - 2k16.

 3. i don't think its way too much, i think it's not too much and not too little.

yeah I can't stand my career either. lol it's completely pointless.

Legends can easily be put in for people who want that stuff without showcase mode.

As I said in another thread, Angle is now a possibility. 2K have wanted him for the last several years now, and he's in contact with WWE, albeit sparsely. If they announce Angle at some point, I'd say a Lesnar showcase is a go. Yeah, we'd see a lot of the same people, but let's not forget how good some of those matches were, and how awesome his first run was.

I'd be excited for it

2K tossed his name as a suggestion last year for the preorder and wwe said no to him and Goldberg which imo was just silly. but yeah hopefully we get him. I'm not that interested in his latter years career but his beginning I guess is okay. I would have preferred just something that would give us more legends though.  Kurt is nice and all but if they don't add a new Ankle Lock i'm gonna be pissed. The same goes for the Enhancement NXT DLC.  If they didn't mocap a running/standing legdrop to the back for Nia Jax and just gave her the WWE13/2K14 Running legdrop I think a lot of people will be pissed as well.

Oh course they would say no to Angle last year, he was still under contract to TNA

it wasn't about his contract. this was around that time he took that break or whatever. regardless. Kurt was down for it. or atleast that's what Bryan Vore said. Vince just wouldn't sign of on it. what's your excuse about Goldberg? he wasn't contracted to anyone yet the same thing happened.

My excuse? anyway Kurt only took the break this year, last year he was still on TNA TV as the world champion and he was still under contract

bryan vore is the community manager and has been for the last year and he mentioned it in passing on the 2k forums when the preorder bonus was announced. why don't you go back to your shitty mods and leave me the fuck alone. no one was talking to you

this would have been before he even became World champion.. I don't follow TNA but this had to have been around January of 2015 from my understanding Kurt didn't win that title till later in the year atleast that's what I thought. anyway it came from the horses mouth the wwegames community manager furthermore I was referring to what's your excuse as to why wwe mainly vince would say no to Goldberg as a preorder exclusive. why vince didn't want the 4hw in 2k16 (and don't give me the they held it back for 2k17 and the whole nxt collector's excuse cause that's been disproven)

anyway I don't care. Goldberg is in, we'll most likely have the 4hw and kurt has a better chance than he's had in the last decade to be included.  that's really all I care about
