Def Dave Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) I'm getting an error saying "Texture file must be same size as original" while trying to inject the .dds file in Xpacker. I saved it as dxt1 no alpha, and set resolution to 128x128, but no luck I'm also getting this same error. I've tried everything I can think of but can't get around this problem. I've tried a variety of different methods such as: creating a fresh DDS, opening one of the extracted DDS and overwriting, painting over the original, dragging and dropping another image on top, etc. It has to be something with either the way we are opening the .DDS files in Photoshop or the nVidia conversion settings. Here are some screenshots of what I am doing. Hopefully someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.posted image Edited July 24, 2016 by Def Dave Quote
4 Life Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) @Def Dave If you ever have trouble re-injecting a dds texture, best solution is creating a new texture archive. In X-Packer, hit Ctrl+N to bring up the new texture archive menu. Click Select textures. Find and open your edited dds. Click Create Texture Archive and save it over the original one - 00C9.pac in this case. Then you'll be able to inject that into the 0000 PACH file without issue. Not had any issue with this myself where these signs are concerned, but I always just create a new texture archive when doing texture modding as it's a common problem for textures to not reinject and this works a charm, just tested it with signs and it indeed works fine (no reason why it shouldn't so was expected) Gonna add a note to the OP for those getting errors.@TheHeartbrokenKid did you get on okay in the end? I'd suggest the above if not, didn't think to mention this before and will add this to my original post.could someon please upload a fresh audience.pac the one time i dont back up i screwed up lol now i cant use paige and sasha banks anymore cheersDo you still need this file mate? 4 Life Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 (edited) well....I tried the "replacing method" but no luck so far... I don't get any errors during the "work process" but the "edited" sign never seems to replace the original one. Any thoughts would be much appreciated! Sorry for the late reply mate, not visited this thread. Make sure you deleted the audience.pac.bak file (I still forget to do this one from time to time and this will keep your original settings as the game will tend to read the backup, so it's a vital step) from your pac folder and that you injected the right files into each other. Def Dave Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) A month later, I finally today had some more time and patience to try this again and got it to work by creating a new texture archive. Thank you for your help, 4 Life.EDIT: I've added crowd signs to 80's Hogan (mod) and Mr. T (caw) but out of 10+ matches, I've only seen a custom sign once. I see the random bullcrap signs (Marry me, In WWE we trust, etc) all the time though. Might there be something I'm doing wrong? Edited August 29, 2016 by Def Dave Quote
