Chrisjohnson83 Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 hellostill figuring my erros as i go. So far i have the mod arenas pack, and aj styles & nakamura mods added in succesfully. I am having 2 problems. One when i load others i've scavenged through out here like kurt angle & jeff hardy, they crash when going to edit, but the other option is it just stays at the loading screen when trying to use them. What point am i going wrong when installing them into the game/using the customer characters tool? Quote

Purchased from steam day 1 of building my PC back in March. Wwe 2k16 was one of the biggest reasons I switched back from Mac to PC after 5 years for the mods. Mods in generals blow my mind just love the idea of them Make sure the ch.pac, pofo and moveset all matcham I able to rename ch files like say for Jeff Hardy if it's ch47102.. Can I name it ch471? ObsoleteRipZz Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 Well if it's 47102 that's correct. You want to make sure your Pofos and Moveset slot match whatever the CB.pac is and vice versa. So for instance if Jeff is 47102 you want to make sure his Pofo and Moveset slots are set at 471 Quote

Can I name it ch471?Have you used either HxD or X-Packer?! You can rename it, but the file within the pac needs to be correct also, there are various tutorials and threads on the forum explaining how to do this. Edited July 1, 2016 by Booty O's Quote
Perfectplex Posted July 1, 2016 Posted July 1, 2016 (edited) naming the ch pac files isn't really the problem if you keep in mind that the game will read them in order. For instance this is how I keep my ch folder, so I have quick reference for my files, I can see where I have mods installed and the game reads them just fine. Notice I have highlighted Chris Jericho and a bunch of mods, I wanted to keep the original attire then (using attire unlocker) I wanted to add a bunch of Jericho mods, now I can't simply rename them ch10412 and ch10414 and hope it automatically knows its the second attire, I need to open up the ch pac file and rename the pach file within.Rename the ch pac file to the placement you want, in this case I want to rename AMBRos' WrestleMania32 Jericho mod to make it my second attire rather than overwriting the first attire. So I rename it from ch10402.pac to ch10412.pac and ch10404.pac to ch10414.pac (don't worry about my method of adding the additional text, thats just how I do things personally),I personally use X-Packer 10 (not upgraded yet but this works) and right click on the file name, in this case 00010402 and rename it to 00010412 and hit ok, then do the same for the entrance attire, open the ch10414 file and rename the pach file 00010404 to 00010414.Now you can place them in your ch folder, this wont prompt an overwrite assuming you have no previous installed Chris Jericho Mods, but you will see now you have ch10402, ch10404 (the vanilla Jerichos) and underneath ch10412 and ch10414 (the added mod as second attire).Run the game, enjoy your second attire (or third, fourth, etc. This method is also how you move mods but personally I would advise sticking to the future proof string order to make life easier as most modders make mods in accordance to the suggested order for ease of installation and compatibility. If you do need to move a mod for whatever reason to a different slot then it would be a case of changing the entire ch pac number and opening it up and matching the pach number inside to correspond to the new pac number too.If it crashes then it is likely you haven't yet taken the first steps of modding by fixing the chunk_cache (makes first load take a while to load, it has not crashed on the splash screen, wait) and you need to go back to the beginning and read through the tutorials before jumping into the deep end, if you have done the steps and it is specifically one mod causing a crash then it is crashing on the entrance then it is more than likely that you haven't installed the pofo file correctly, use the Data Editor and Custom Character Tools to install them.If you don't have X-Packer then there are other tools to rename the pach files inside but for that you need to follow the tutorials for HXD (free hex editor) and I believe there is a tool called CHEMD which can be used but not familiar with that tool and as RipZz mentioned ensure they match the ch pac file number.Sorry if I've already addressed things you already know about but its best to be certain you understand each step, once you know how it is like riding a bike but we all make mistakes now and then.ALWAYS KEEP YOUR PAC FILES IN ORDER AND PACH FILES WITHIN THEM CONSISTENT TO MATCH THE PAC NUMBER!
