Weird Shane McMahon problem

Recommended Posts

Posted

Ever since I tried to install JulianBITW's Shane Mcmahon mod, he crashes my game.  The weird part is that if you edit his entrance, he shows up just fine.... I've tried to edit the hex in his .pac(to match ch15202) and .pofo to match the correct slot #, etc.  I've even tried to completely uninstall him and reinstall him, he still crashes the game...  I even tried to install it to a completely different slot in the game and it still crashes when I try to load up a match with him.  He is the only one(hopefully) that is having this problem, if anyone else out there has had this problem and found a solution, I would be very grateful if you would share the info.

BTW, I had a similar problem with current era HHH crashing my game during his entrance(the vanilla version of him) and I installed someones mod of one of his recent attires over top of it and it fixed it, but NOTHING I have tried thus far has fixed Shane :(

Did you install any custom renders at all?

Yes, but not for Shane.

Did you compress and inject the renders into the PACH? If not, that's your problem. You need to start off with a fresh clean typeb file, then compress and inject the renders in. If, when you compress the renders in, you get "ZLIB must be same size as original", open up the render in Photoshop, reduce the vibration by -5 and increase the posterization by 25. Then copy the render back into Visual Studio, by deleting the old render and Ctrl+V'ing the new (mini guide by a member whose name I can't remember).

Thanks a ton, I'm sure that's what it is, I did get that error a couple of times(randy orton and Scott Hall)  The way I got it to work was just to re-do the process but try to adjust the image to better match the positioning of the original render in Visiual Studio, it seemed to work(I also had to inject the actual file itself into the .pac twice before any of my renders would show in the game, and yes I always compress and inject using X-packer 10), but thank you so much for the info, I never even thought this problem could have anything to do with renders.  When I get the time I will start fresh and post back in here if it worked.

Yep, it was something to do with the renders, I replaced the typea and typeb.pac files with my backups and Shane works fine now(I have no idea how, but my Scott Hall render still shows... 0_0 all the other ones reset), such a relief though, thanks again!

You are welcome! :)

(I have no idea how, but my Scott Hall render still shows... 0_0 all the other ones reset)

The DLC renders are in a different file (ltag_typeb_dlc40 for Scott Hall).
