Tag matches and Mods cause crash

I'm having struggle playing as modded superstars in matches containing more than two people. sometimes it works but most times it just comes up with the "WWE 2K16 has stopped working" error message. This is especially annoying when playing in universe and I don't know if there is an easy way to sort this out

Is it just Tag Team Matches, or any matches with more than two people? If it's the latter, what are your exact hardware specifications? Maybe your system is unstable and thus can't handle the load that appears with more than two people.
Which mods exactly did you install and which tools did you use to install them?
Did you also install .team_info files?
Are you using the official (uncracked!) Steam version 1.01 or later? If not, update to that version and try again.
Is that with the same wrestlers that it sometimes works with and sometimes doesn't? Do the wrestlers it crashes with work normally in singles matches?
Do you use the Match Select mod to modify the matches for your matches?
Did you ever use the commercial trainer by KG to change the match types that crash? I believe that trainer saves the match types to the game permanently to your savegame depending on which arenas you use, etc.. It could be that some of the changes you made with it were illegal parameters that cause the crashes.
You could try to roll back to a savegame from a date before the crashes started to happen, provided you backup your saves frequently.

I just played the exact same match that was crashing in universe mode in play mode and it worked fine!

whatever he problem is its to do with Universe mode and mods. I don't use any modifications other than character mods.

To make the match in universe I did use the customise match option to make it a tag match and saved it. I also found out fatal 4 ways don't work as well so its not just tag matches. I may try changing the arena to see if that works better

I just played around a little with the game. Looks like just certain mods don't work in universe mode. Tried playing a singles match in universe with the same mod and it didn't work again. It's strange because, again, it will work fine in the play mode but not universe
