removing preset managers

It might have already been discussed and if it has, please forgive me as I tried searching every how to on this forum. 

 

Im trying to figure out how to remove the preset managers on character select. By that I mean for example, if I pick Damien Sandow, the game automatically tries to pair the miz as his manager and you have to click remove.  Id like to remove these as I am currently replacing superstars I dont use with modded ones(sorry Sandow) and its annoying to have Austin Aries auto put together with the Miz each time.

I am thinking its in the string file, sort of default tag teams that will always persist, maybe try to find all strings from Mizdown and Miz and replace the info there with .'s, or 0's or whatever

Nah mate, the string file is literally just a text file practically - just a document that holds all of the game's text strings. If you edit anything inside it all you're doing is just changing in-game text

As for OP's question, there's probably a way somehow but nobody knows that I'm aware of. Been having trouble with this myself when replacing superstars - even if you remove the manager from the roster via their pofo, they still appear as the manager, but when you confirm that you want a manager it just goes to someone else because it can't find said manager. My workaround has just been to replace them with superstars that have team mates or managers and then replacing the manager with the respective team mate/manager, but obviously depends on what your purpose is.
