help with locking superstars

Hey there, I recently started messing around with X-Packer and replacing renders and started trimming down my roster and getting rid of all the people I don't want cluttering my game(sorry Earthquake). I was following steps on Pozzums guides on how to lock characters with a 00 in Cheat Engine so they didn't appear. I've done that and it works temporarily but after 1-2 shutdowns of the game, they all come back under DLC.   Whats weird is it works fine for the main roster, the edits and locks ive done there stay. but the DLC keeps coming back. any tips? Ive already checked my files for any .bak files and found none

I've heard this before, not sure if it ever got solved. I think the game checks which DLC you own at startup and automatically activates it if it isn't.
