DrJoeyMagnum Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Arguably the greatest boxer in the history of the sport is in hospital and four of his nine children are reportedly at his bedside.Doctors have told them that they fear he 'is near the end' in Scottsdale, Arizona.Ali's condition is complicated by the Parkinson's Disease he has been living with since the 1980s.Three of the 74-year-old's daughters - Laila, Hana and Maryum - flew in to be with him on Thursday. Sunny Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 We wereย lucky enough to share through the sameย generation as Ali.Though I wasn't old enough to remember, I was lucky enough to be graced byย his presence.ย There will be no one else that compares. A man who perserveredย and popularized a minority. A selfless voice of the voiceless. A pioneer. Like he said in his post-fight interview after beating Sonny Listen, quite simply, 'The Greatest of All Time.' Quote
BrotchMrToast Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Looking at recent pictures of him, it was obvious that it was going to happen sooner rather than later. Nevertheless, you still hope that it never happens. Albeit that I am way too young to have lived during his prime, I still consider myself fortunate enough to have lived during a time that was graced by his presence, as Sunny put it.R.I.P, "The Greatest".
